Lots of negative reviews on this, but I have MANY Gator bags, and took a chance. It worked fine for my needs. It fit my 14" hats, 2 16" crashes, 17" & 18" crashes, 18" china, & 20" ride without a problem. I don't see how a 22" cymbal would fit, though. The loose liner is a pain, but I'm getting used to it. Sturdy, solid zippers, nice linings, sling & handles are solid. I like it, and I'm happy with my purchase.

This bag gets the job done but it is fairly cheap. It can hold a decent number of cymbals - probably 7 or so without cramming them in; but the dividers are removable - they're just floating around in the bag instead of actually being attached to the bag. I suppose some might like this, but to be honest it just made it harder to take cymbals in and out. There isn't a ton of padding either, it mostly just serves the purpose of carrying them around rather than protecting them really well. I thought it was ridiculous to spend a bunch of money on something that merely holds cymbals, but after I got this bag I thought about it more and returned it for the Reunion Blues Continental Cymbal Case. Yes, it is 3 times more expensive, but if you're carrying 7 or 8 high end cymbals, it's worth it. Not only will it protect better, it will unquestionably last longer. Dropping big money on a CASE is a bummer, but in my opinion it's worth it.

Comments about Gator GP-12 Padded Cymbal Slinger Bag:

This is a good quality bag made with quality materials. The only drawback is the cymbal dividers that are not attached to the bag itself which makes it difficult to use. I carry a 20, 18, 16 and two 14" hats. There's no way you would get a 22" in this bag. I've had 2 Zildjian bags previously and they were both junk and started falling apart almost immediately. Neither lasted more than 1 year. Buy Zildjian cymbals but stay away from their bags.

Comments about Gator GP-12 Padded Cymbal Slinger Bag:

DON'T BUY THIS BAG IF YOU HAVE 22" CYMBALS. It won't fit them. According to the description it fits 22's, but it's WRONG. I read another reviewer saying he had the same problem, but it was an old review, so I assumed maybe they retooled the bag to the correct size. NOPE. Otherwise it's an ok bag. The only other things I didn't like about it are that the parts that connect the strap to the bag are plastic. They look metal in the photo. Also the 2 handles for carrying the bag don't have a velcro piece that attaches them while you hold it with your hand. That's a pretty standard feature on other bags. I'm returning.

              Nice case

Comments about Gator GP-12 Padded Cymbal Slinger Bag:

I have had good luck with all of Gator's cases. This one is no different. Well made and well designed.
For the price this case is a bargain. The pockets and removable insert are time savers. For the folks who said this case will not hold up, I offer this advise! Put the case inside your vehicle and not towed behind it.
Only give this an overall "9" because it is still a soft case.

              Good product

Comments about Gator GP-12 Padded Cymbal Slinger Bag:

The bag is not as roomy as my previous bag as mentioned above, but I do like the dividers, it just needs at least one more as I have 7 cymbals plus my hi hat and there are not enough dividers to seperate them all.
I had a cat spray my Zildjian bag and when I read about this bag with the padded/cloth dividers it sounded great. I had previously been using towels with the other bag and it was somewhat time consuming. I do not have any 22" cymbals so mine all fit well. I read where another guy had a tight fit with his and I would have to agree, it would be tight. It seems well made although it is not as roomy as the Zildjian. It is built well enough to last for several years but not sure it is worth the difference in money. The Zildijian is cheaper. All in all I am happy with the purchase but time will tell on the quality.

              Inconvenient.

Comments about Gator GP-12 Padded Cymbal Slinger Bag:

I do not recommend this product. It claims to hold 22 inch cymbals, but it is very difficult to fit mine. The bag is so tight, it takes too long for my liking to put my cymbals inside. It only has 1 dividing sleeve inside, but it has a cloth section with more dividers which comes out, which I threw away because of how long and difficult it was to situate my larger cymbals in that first, and then the bag. Lastly, the zipper rides up against my 22" cymbal's edge, this bag is too tight and small for me. I would rather keep buying the Zildjian bag and have it wear out than this one.

A good investment to protect your cymbals.

I got this cymbal bag and was very impressed with the quality of the build. There is a lot more padding then i was expecting and the material and zippers are nice as well.
