Comments about Gator GR-6S ATA 6-Space Shallow Rack Case:
I had purchased this case for extensive touring to hold my power conditioner, sonic maximizer, and bass head. the case had worked great until about a week in, after 6 shows in a row the metal handles began sliding back in forth to the point where they can slide all the way out, on one side its so bad that a house tech nearly hurt his hand on the protruding metal hardware.
Even if the source of this issue is weight on the amplifiers part it shouldn't matter, this case is designed to hold 4 to 5 pieces of equipment, mine only had 3.
Bottom line, this case is not road reliable and easily becomes a hazard if the danger of the sliding handles are not labeled for house crews.

Comments about Gator GR-6S ATA 6-Space Shallow Rack Case:
As i've gotten older and after many years of bulky cases I've started breaking my equipment into more manageable sizes. These are great cases. Most of my modules, effects and more, fit nicely in these smaller, shallower cases. I even have two 12 channel rack mountable "box" mixers that fit perfectly into these cases - offering better protection and hardly any weight, And Gator makes great stuff that doesn't kill your wallet OR you back.

Comments about Gator GR-6S ATA 6-Space Shallow Rack Case:
Does the job at a better price point than SKB. It holds a monsterpower pro900, dbx driverack pa+, QSC GX3(subs) and QSC GX5(mains) in a nice compact space. Latches are smaller than SKB's but work well. I like them being on the case itself whereas the lids usually get thrown around. Great case for the money!
Comments about Gator GR-6S ATA 6-Space Shallow Rack Case:
I'm in a band that plays small to medium sized venues, a couple times a month. I own two of these cases. One to hold a pair of GX5 amps and 2 BBE rack units. The other I use to hold a power sequencer and various effects. They have been nothing but great to me. My gear has been protected from countless beer spills, and butter-fingered roadies. Only beef is with the latches. I've bent one over the past year, though it still closes and holda a proper seal.
Comments about Gator GR-6S ATA 6-Space Shallow Rack Case:
Light duty which is fine for quick setups and transport but these latches were totally botched. They are under built and mounted on the rack body subjecting them to easy damage. They should be part of the lid so you can store them safely. You WILL bend these flimsy latches.
