This is a good case for the money, its not a flight ready case or anything but for this price range its not supposed to be. its meant for normal wear and tear hauling to and from gigs, and it fulfills that perfectly. i wouldnt have any problem taking my 72 tele deluxe on the road in this case, it's very sturdy and the plush and foam cushioning inside it is wonderful. the ONLY reason i gave it a 4 on quality was for superficial reasons. i got the tweed one and there are a couple of spots where a thread or two is starting to come out of the weave. also along the bottom rim where the cloth overlaps and is glued down, it's not glued very strongly and easily peels up for about a half inch along the edge, it would have been much better to stitch it down i think, but oh well. like i said the only problems i have had are PURELY superficial. i haven't found anything wrong with this case that has hindered it's functionality in any way.one thing i would like to point out is that this thing is light! i was really suprised when i picked it up for the first time, Gator really did a good job and cutting down on weight without cutting down protection.bottom line, this is a top notch case for its' price category, and if you're looking for something just to keep the normal daily wear and tear off of your guitar, this case will do it.

Bought one of these for my Fender Strat and it fit like a glove. Nice, thick padding inside with a nice door over the accessory compartment. The hardware seems very nice, and overall it's good protection for my guitar at home and back and forth to gigs. It seems to be a tight fit, and the case is a bit shorter than most, but I actually like that. Plenty of storage space nevertheless.
I probably wouldn't recommend this case for heavy travel use, or stacking stuff on top of it in a packed van because it's not sturdy enough for that. Airlines would destroy it in a few minutes, no doubt. But, for general light-duty use, this case is the cats. I got it on sale and that's even better, and I'd say it provides as good a protection for your guitar as one of the budget moulded cases, maybe better. Highly recommend this case to anyone who isn't intending to fly with it or stack heavy stuff on it regularly.

I bought this as one of MF's crazy deals of the day, seem to be doing that a lot lately. Of all the items I purchased, this one has it's limitations. I can fit a PSR Custom 24 Ok, A fender strat is a bit too tight and a junior Les Paul is definitely a no. So, if you buy one make sure your guitar will fit.

Yep, a little flimsy, but overall, still fairly well-made for what it is. The lid is very thin and I don't think it would respond well to having anything dropped on it. Everything works as it's supposed to, the case looks good and it balances well when carried.
As long as you know you're buying a light-duty case, you won't be disappointed. As others have said, it does the job for keeping your guitar from getting dusty and banged around at home. It will get your guitar to and from the gig in one piece, but likely only if you're your own roadie. I wouldn't think about tossing this in with a truckload of gear and I wouldn't put an expensive or cherished instrument in this case.
I bought this for a G&L Ascari and it wasn't quite deep enough. It is an absolutely PERFECT fit for a PRS SE Paul Allender though. It's also a near-perfect fit for an Epiphone Nighthawk Custom Reissue, but I put a folded polishing cloth in the neck cradle to give the pitched headstock about 1/4" extra clearance. I now have two of these cases, so how bad could they be? LOL.
Again, as long as you're looking for a light-duty case, you could do worse than one of these.

This case is a great value for the money. It's great for protecting, storing and traveling with your guitar. It has stylish appearance also. If you take care of your equipment, this case should last a lifetime. I wouldn't recommend it for air travel or roadie use,but if you take care of your stuff, you'll have no problem. They are really well made and do the job they're made to do. I've checked out ALL the cases and cost and found that for the money and quality, these cases cain't be beat. Yes, there are better cases, but at a much higher price. It really depends on your requirements, preference and price range. It would be worth your while to buy just ona and see for yourself.

A step or two above a softcase. Fits my Fender Strat perfectly. Minimal padding. Latches and hinges are functional. Tolex seems well applied and thick enough. I don't expect a case like this would last very long on a tour. The panels feel and flex like thin plywood. This would provide protection for your guitar in the back seat on the way to rehearsal or a gig, or if you needed to put your guitar into the closet or out of the way. But any use more demanding than that is going to require a more substantial case. For the price, I think this case is good value--more protection than a soft case at a similar price point.

I bought the black case for my wife's Stratocaster and this thing fits like a glove! It's compact with good padding and a nice plush lining. The only thing I can really fault is that it's rather lightly constructed for a touring case. However, for your casual musician that is just playing the local area, this is a great little case for a Strat, Tele or similar size guitar.
