Picked one of these up recently for a Vintage Jazzmaster I got a bit ago. The Jazzmaster, while vintage, had been restored/refinished, has mostly replacement hardware, and non original pickups...Great "Players guitar", but not really anything a collector would be interested in. It gets gigged heavily, and banged around...So a case is more about getting it safely from point A to B. This case is great for that.

Went with this over a G&G, simply because the last few G&G cases I've bought seemed to have Quality control issues. So I figured I'd give these a try an see how they compare.

This is definitely a good case. Close to G&G quality (ignoring the QC problem cases), sturdy enough for Heavy Local gigging, or light regional touring. I would not trust this case if I had to fly anywhere though, although I also wouldn't trust G&G for that either. If you're flying with your guitar, buy the newer SKB case (also have one of those), definitely better for air travel.

This is a good case if you're looking for a sturdy, reliable, vintage style case that won't break the bank. Definitely higher quality than Musicians Gear, or other low end cases. Buy SKB if you're doing any sort of National Tour, or have to fly anywhere with your Jazz/Jag.

been looking for months for a rectangular hardshell case to fit a Fender Japan Thinline Jag which has a larger body. Didn't want to spend a lot. This case fits great with even a little room to spare at the lower bout. Great bang for the buck...glad this is available. This would be great for most musicians, but not made for heavy use.

I purchased this for a Fender Jag Modern Player. It is a nice case to protect against the elements. Guitar fits well, but could be just a wee bit more snug. Nicely padded and well made. Delivery was fast! Priced right too!

Comments about Gator Jaguar and PRS Style Deluxe Electric Guitar Case:

I needed a hard case for a PRS SE Semi-Hollow body guitar. The strat/tele cases I tried we just a bit too small. I ordered this case since it is a bit wider than a fender type case. The PRS fits nicely in this case. The case is about 1/2 inch longer than the guitar, but it still serves it's function quite well. The price was very good and the quality is comparable to other cases I looked at which cost a bit more.

It's a good value and Musician's Friend got it out very quickly. I would purchase this case again.

This case may cost twice what I paid for a similar musicians gear case, but it's worth it! The construction appears faultless, it's well padded and fit's the Jazzmaster I got it for, perfectly! The Tolex covering looks good, and the leatherette ends with he white contrast bead and stitching sets it all off. The hardware and latches are good quality and properly installed.

                    Altogether a very good purchase.

Comments about Gator Jaguar and PRS Style Deluxe Electric Guitar Case:

I just bought a Squier VM Jazzmaster last week from here.
My wife is getting the case as a BDay gift for me! I have noticed that most reviews aren't explicit about which case they got, and which guitar they got it for. It's important to buy the right case, or it won't fit the guitar properly. The customer that said it weighs 25 lbs with guitar must have a PRS that is very heavy! The case itself only weighs 8 to 10 lbs, so he must have a 15 lb guitar. This is normal for a hardwood solidbody axe. Back in the early 70's I finished up a guitar that Paul R. Smith had built. It was solid Rosewood about 3 inches thick, and had a strange triangular shape. By the time I had put it together and lacquered it with many coats of clear, it must have weighed 18 or 19 lbs. It had dual humbusters and it sounded pretty good. So I know what a heavy guitar is all about!

In about two weeks I will review the case properly so potential buyers will have an idea what to expect. I already expect it to be a little better than the Musicians Gear cases that I bought from MF in the past for about half the cost. But they weren't bad for the price!

The body cavity in the case is too deep so that when you close the lid the guitar lifts up and is supported only by the neck.
