GHS ML3075 Brite Flats bridge the gap

By StratRob

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

The GHS Brite flats are a great bridge between flat-wound and round-wound strings. They are round string that are ground flat, so a lot of the punch still remains. The nickel alloy is very warm and creates a soft growl if played hard. Much better punch that the D'Adarrio half-rounds, and much smoother too!

Must have gotten a bad set

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

Bought these about a year ago for a Peavey bass. Came out of the package tarnished and looked like they had been stored in a box in the attic for years. Should have sent them back to MF then but put them on. They sound OK but are sticky, difficult to play and no amount of finger ease has been able to help. Going to change them out with standard GHS flatwounds that are great on another bass that I have.

Simply Great Strings

By Craig Mann

from Western New York

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

Have used the GHS Brite Flats strings exclusively on my Ric 4001 for that great mid-range growl without excessive fretwear. Bought this set for my Fender American Hot Rod Precision bass and was blown away by the overall difference from the stock Fender strings. Great depth with a nice punch and clean highs. Not to mention easier on the fingers than roundwounds. I tip my hat to GHS!

amazing strings

By bassthumper

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I've had these strings for about a year now and they're amazing. They're silky smooth and the tone is really good for flat wounds which means you can play for hours and have awesome tone. They're the best strings I've ever used on my bass, so go out and buy them now!

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I usually use good ol Ernie Ball 2806 Group III. All 4 strings are smooth as glass with consistent tone from my experience. The GHS Brite Flats aren't quite silky smooth. The D and G strings almost feel like a regular round wound. With the E and A feeling a little more smooth respectively. There is noticeable string "zing" compared to a regular flat as well. They sound really good, so if the flat feel, and a little string zing doesn't bother you, then these are great. If you're looking for silky smooth and silent you may want to try something else.

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

These strings have a real nice, punchy, tone. Wasn't sure if they'd be exactly what I was looking for, but, they sound great onstage.

            Good Quality, Great Sound.

Comments about GHS ML3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I love these strings! I have been using bright Flats on both my acoustic and electric basses for about a year. I used to use Elixers, but could not justify the price on those. The Bright Flats have good sustain, comfortable feel, and last 1-2 months on average with regular play. I would recommend these to anyone.
