After faithfully using Dean Markleys for over 30 years, I saw these strings - offering a 9.5 high E string. They make string bending a breeze - great for blues/rock. I never liked using 9's on the high E string - the 9.5 in this set works perfectly - much better feel to me than a 9. I especially like the ease of bending at the higher frets up the neck. Very satisfied.

I was in the "strings are strings" camp for a while. I swore by 10's and 11's (any kind) but realized recently that I have been fighting myself for the last ten years. I used to believe all the hype about bigger strings are better - but really its ALL in the fingers and a well setup guitar. Anyway the Big Core 9.5- 43 gage on a strat scale wit big frets chime and sustain like a bell yet feel fantastic.
