Comments about Gibson 500kOhm Potentiometer Audio Taper/Short Shaft:

Replaced a bad pot in an SZ 520 Ibanez . It was bad when I bought it I had a Gibson 500 k that I bought as a spare for my ES335,so I used it and it worked great.
I did not give it a second thought. I purchased another SZ 520 for a backup
And noticed that the sound was very lacking it was tinny and there was no fullness to the sound. I changed strings and tried a number of other things to increase the sound and decided to sell it. As a last ditch effort before selling it ,since the only difference between the two guitars was the pot I had replaced. I purchased another one and put it in and the sound difference was remarkable. I had several other musicians listen to the difference and we all agreed the there was no doubt the sound was much better ,fuller , thicker ,just more. So I have been replacing the pots in all my humbucker guitars with Gibson 500k's . I just bought one more for a spare.

Great replacement pot

Comments about Gibson 500kOhm Potentiometer Audio Taper/Short Shaft:

I'm judging the quality of this off of the original equipment that was in my Jackson Dxmg. it seems to be a much better pot than the Jackson-supplied pot, doesn't feel cheap or have any static, much heavier built.

Comments about Gibson 500kOhm Potentiometer Audio Taper/Short Shaft:

I ordered these as replacement pots for a guitar that had the push/pull option installed. I replaced the bridge pickup to a Seymor Duncan Crunch lab so I did not need the push/pull pots any more. Once they were installed I noticed a huge difference with volume swells, the volume transitioned from quick to loud smoothly. I will be ordering these for all of my guitars. Cheap and easy upgrade to any guitar.
