I bought the Gibson brand nickel bridge humbucker cover for my Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute Humbucker guitar that came with exposed coil 498T pickup in the bridge position. The guitar is basically a low-end gold top, so I wanted the look to be more traditional. Paid for the Gibson brand cover in nickel to keep the guitar all Gibson and to give a more traditional gold top "look." The pole spacing for this humbucker cover is 2 1/16 inches and perfectly fit the 498T pickup. Just to be thorough, I wax potted the inside of the cover (the pickup coils were already was potted), and soldered the cover to the pickup's backplate. So it's as close to a factory covered pickup as I could make it. Perfect fit, great looking, and I like the slight patina that nickel covers get over time is why I chose nickel over chrome.

Ordered both neck and bridge chrome covers for my Les Paul Trad Pro II. The neck p/u cover fit fine, but the bridge cover did not fit at all. Turns out the neck covers fits perfect on both pickups, but the 'bridge' p/u cover doesn't work on either.

Ok first of all, these don't just fit on Gibson pickups. They fit on any vintage pickup! They also fit on any progressive pickup,but the holes aren't a lined perfectly. A little trimming did the trick!It went on my ibanez (with Seymour Duncan Pickups) perfectly! Oh and what that one guy said about the gold color rubbing off is wrong. He/she must have had a factory defect. All you do then is send it back for a new pair.

I have a pair of these on my '68 flying v and its amazing! They look incredible. They also serve their purpose of keeping 'buckers buckin'. So, there you go. GET THEM if you want to make a gibby look even MORE classy. Namaste, friends.

I was unsure about buying these pickup covers at first (I got both the bridge and the neck position ones), but I took the chance. I took it to my local guitar store and had them put on. The worker at the store said that sometimes when put on the pickups have alot of feedback and tends to wail under high gain, but I had em put on anyway. These babies work perfect. There's no wailing, and I didnt notice any change in tone. GET THESE PICKUP COVERS THAY ARE UNBELIEVABLE. Made my gibson sg faded look absolutely stunnung.

I have these on my les paul and the gold finish last about ten minutes then starts to wear off where your hand rubs against it. Great for protection but I wouldn't waste the extra money on the gold unless you like the worn look.

These things do little or nothing to the tone of your guitar (in my case a LesPaul), but they really prevent rust or tarnish from hitting your precious humbuckers. Brilliant inventions. They draw more attention to your guitar, too!
