I play metal primarily, and because of my enthusiasm for Gibson, I purchased these picks. So far, these are the best picks I've ever used. The feel is great, the tone is unmatched. The celluloid feels so smooth when I'm playing. I prefer thin picks, as the flexibility enables faster tremelo picking. The only downside is that, comparatively, these picks are expensive (as are all of Gibson's products), but of top quality. The tip wears off quickly, but I'm an agressive player and I use thin picks, so I guess that's inevitable. Great picks, try them out!

The photo shows a Gibson USA Heavy Pick. I therefore ordered the 50 pack tin. The tin is nice enought, but the picks are not the USA pictured.
The USA picks have a raised logo that adds just enough grip to secure them between your thumb and finger. The picks that were shipped do not have USA in the logo and the entire logo is NOT RAISED and feels just like a Fender pick.
I am highly disappointed.

I strongly urge people to buy these in my shop (I am a Luthier by trade), because they really shine for those who are trying to acheive great tone.
These picks are made from high quality cell and have the traditional Gibson text on them. Most players are very "picky" when choosing picks, mostly because of the feeling it has on their fingers. But I heard of these picks simply for their to project each string with clarity when strumming, and that's exactly what they do. These are especially great for using with an Acoustic guitar, but if you do a lot of soloing or play inside while strumming, these will give your playing a superb clarity and even-ness with each string.
They are a little pricy, but I imagine it's due to the tin box. But either way, it's what's inside that counts.

Love this tin! It is very nicely made, just what you would expect from Gibson. The picks are great too, and seem even better than usual. This is a great product for the price.
