I used ths to replace the cheap plastic jack plate on a Squier Affinity Telecaster (go ahead & laff, I like it.) I bought the chrome one, it is metal & the curvature on it is close enough. I did have to drill 3 new holes & it isn't exactly straight but I'm sure you could center it correctly if you are that picky. I no longer have to deal with my cord going in at a crazy angle because of a cheap broken plastic input cover. Thanks Musicians friend. But like 4 bones for shipping this little thing? Ouch!

Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
I used this (and other new hardware) to freshen up the appearance of a 10 year old Les Paul.
10 years isn't all that old - but nickel doesn't hold up as well as chrome - so the original pieces were looking a bit worn.
Nice original equipment part.

Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
I bought this to put on my traditional, because thats what the guitar is supposed to be ---traditional. It matched the cream binding on my les paul and looks much better then the stock stainless steal one
Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
Does the job but seems like a place to put in the extra stregnth of a metal part and not plastic. (I ordered the black BTW.)
Does the job it was designed to do.
I thought by looking at the picture that they were metal but they are real Gibson parts made of plastic.
Does the job but my fault for not looking onto materials, Plastic breaks to easy to be around my kids so next time will order the non-Gibson metal jack plate.
Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
I ordered a epiphone LP Junior and its shown with a black jack plate and mounting ring. instead it had creme, I think its because mine was the limited edition junior. well i purchased the black gibson mounting ring and jack plate, but the jack plate was a hair too big!!!!!!!!! i found out the epiphone models are in metric and the gibsons are in imperial (and its like this for all epiphones and gibsons) so if you have any epiphone your buying this for, DONT, but on the plus side if i get a gibson with a creme plate i can change that!!
The exact same plate as the GIBSON model guitar jack plate.
Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
I was at practice when I stepped on the cord of my 1975 LP Custom, and black plastic pieces fell on the floor! I knew I had to get a replacement fast. Confident that Musicians Friend had the part, I got online, ordered the black jack plate and in a day received the part. The part was a direct replacement and my axe was ready for the weekend performance. Thanks much Musicians Friend for having the parts to keep me playing.
Hubie
Wasn't sure what price to expect being a Gibson part.
Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
I ordered the creme one for my 1972 Les Paul and it fit perfect. I pulled my cord out and the jack and pieces of the plate came with it! Old and brittle, I guess... I have a 2005 Les Paul Standard and it looked the same, but I wasn't sure if the had made any changes over the years. The only negative thing I can add to this is that the creme color is a little darker than the original, but I don't really care about that because the guitar is well played with lots of mojo!

Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
Well I bought this for my epi. les paul studio and I wasn't sure if it would fit or not, but of course it didn't, but I'm just going drill new screw holes and angle it a little bit so the others don't show, but it looks nice and still looks like it will fit well when I angle it.
Comments about Gibson Jack Plate with Screws:
Good productKeep in mind, however, that the rectangular one in the picture is the CHROME one! I made the mistake of buying this one and returning it.
