        After talking to various luthiers around town, I was leary of buying parts: "well, they may not fit, the specs change," that sort of thing. But I jumped in, was able to replace all the necessary parts on my 1977 Les Paul Standard myself. Everything fit perfectly!!!! So I'll ber doing the same to my 1955 Les Paul Pro. Thanks Musician's Friend!!!!

        Nice looking bracket

        Comments about Gibson Les Paul Pickguard Bracket:

        Original looking bracket.The one I bought is for an Epiphone Les Paul that did not have a bracket or pickguard. I customised a pickguard from a thin piece of oak.(les paul is a solid body light walnut)I needed to open the slot for a different screw and put it in a vice and dingged it up.. The gold one is solid brass(not coated). Very soft metal. Unless you are modifying it you wont have any problems. It buffs up nice and shiny and looks very sharp against the light walnut. Buy one!
