Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

I purchased this set of tuners to replace a damaged (bent) 4th string key on my 2010 ES-175. The installation was very simple, be sure to place the top side washer on with its raised part facing up, and easy.

High quality parts that retain the look of the original.

    Great Tuners!

Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

These are great for my Studio. Be warned though, unless your old tuners are grovers that have that extra lip of wood out of the peg holes, don't get these without the proper equipment to fix this.

    Vintage look and dated design

    By Dan-nMbB6

Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

These tuners are too quirky to be worth the vintage vibe. Go with the modern Gibson tuners if you are looking to upgrade. I did and I'm much happier with my Gibson.

    Ruined by the pearloids.

    By JSteimel

Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

The "Pearloid Buttons" is a fancy term for "Plastic Buttons." I bought a Gibson V at one point which came equipped with these, and the buttons all eventually broke. Stick with tuning posts that have metal knobs, the "classic look" isn't worth it. Rating this a 4 because the tuning mechanisms themselves work well, but that doesn't matter much if you can't turn them without plyers.

Gibson needs to improve these tuners

    By Anonymous

Comments about Gibson Vintage Gold Machine Heads with Pearloid Buttons:

These tuners cam on a used/modified Gibson Les paul Custom that I got several years back. They don't stay in tune very well and are somewhat expensive, considering they aren't very functional. I've read that other people have had similar tuning problems with these.
