OVERVIEW

Get a grip!

Gorilla Snot helps guitarists hang on to their picks while burning up the strings and helps drummers keep a grip on their drumsticks when they drum up a sweat. Gorilla Snot has also found a niche among roadies and sound techs for hauling gear around.

Natural, biodegradable rosin is applied by rubbing a small amount of Gorilla Snot between your thumb and index finger and working it into your pick or sticks. Gorilla snot dries in about 45 seconds, forming a soft yet tacky surface activated by body heat.

This is a great product that works perfectly for drummers in many ways.
During winter months, when your hands are dry and have less or no natural oils, it is hard sometimes to keep your grip on your sticks. Your skin's natural oils also decrease with age on top of that. I tried several types of gloves but I really can't play well with them on, you can't really have a feel of the sticks. In many occasions I found myself holding the sticks too tight so they wouldn't fly away, which was extremely uncomfortable and caused me even pain during performances. It not only affected my playing but I also worried about having long term problems with my hands if I kept playing with an excessively tight grip.
Then I found this product. Gorilla snot solved all my problems. I do not use it every time, but I always have it with me. On those cold days, when your hands are completely dry, I just put a little dab between my fingers and problem solved. It is comfortable, reliable, and let's me play comfortably and with confidence.
You only need a little bit of this stuff, and it lasts forever. I've had the same container for three years now, and is almost half full. It does dry out a little bit, but if you rub it in, it works the same. It has a nice natural pine smell, and comes off with hot water and soap in seconds. It does not leave goo on your sticks either.
I truly believe that this product saved me from serious issues on my hands due to a too tight grip.
Excellent product.

I tried this at a music store, trying to get the Jazz III picks to stay in my grip. This stuff smells a lot like pine rosin (think violin bow rosin). It works great for gripping. However, if you wipe your hands on your jeans, it will pick up fuzz. Also, if you decide to finger pick, you will get this stuff all over your strings. It's a good idea, but it's just not for everyone. For me, picks with a grip area on them work better.

Comments about Gorilla Snot:

I have found that while playing any style of music where fast strumming is involved, a small amount of Gorilla Snot will enable me to use a lighter grip on the pick therefore aiding to the strumming accuracy. Gripping the pick too tightly (so it won't go flying away) inhibits the fluidity of the strumming motion. Works great for me.

Comments about Gorilla Snot:

I discovered this product about 20 years ago and find it very difficult to play accurately and quickly without using a very small amount if it on thumb and first finger.

        Comments about Gorilla Snot:

I'm in a Christian Worship band so the style I play goes from folk finger picking to light jazz to old gospel and rock. And the GS keeps me in there all the time. I use Kelly Speed picks on my thumb (MF doesn't carry them ) so the goo is up the thumb a little and not my thumb nail so it doesn't interfere with finger picking. In my show, it's a must.

I'm sure I'm not the only guitar player out there with peripheral neuropathy(numbness in hands) from diabetes. This stuff has made me able to play again as I can hold onto the pick even though I can't feel the pick in my hand. It's great!

I lost nerves in my hand due to a mill accident in 2001. I cant grip anythinp especialli a flat guitar pick. I was extemely depressed. I disovered Gorilla snot and the Ernie Ball (God Bless His Soul) thumb picks. I apply GS on the flat and nail of the thumb. The pick is flush with the tip of the thumb. It is absolutely amazing. I can hit hard and never lose the pick.

        Comments about Gorilla Snot:

This stuff is great. When I play shows I'll sweat and I get a little nervous sometimes and grip extra hard on my pic. It may effect my playing and this stuff completely eliminates that hassle.
