If you care about helping make your guitar sound the best it possibly can, this is a must buy, I bought this one for a friend and he was very pleased with what it did for his Takamine 330.Which I believe is one of the mid priced models. It does wonders for the tone and sustain. He now prefers it to his old Martin. This makes a tremendous improvement for very little money.

I have a Martin DX1 guitar and decided to try a bone saddle on it. But it had a somewhat shrill and sharp sound, especially in the upper register. So I installed the non-compensated Tusq saddle and what a difference. The deep rich tone and that classic "woody" Martin sound is back! In addition, it fits like a glove, nice and snug but not too tight, and the height was just right for nice low action. No sanding or shaping required and I highly recommend it!

As part of an upgrade project on my 1980 Takamine F385 12-string, I replaced an under-saddle piezo with a Baggs I-beam active pickup and as a result needed to get a new saddle (I also installed Tusq pins). This saddle was a little thick and a little long for the slot but was easy to sand down and get a correct fit. The resulting sound is incredible (both amplified and acoustic). The overtones come through much more strongly which improves sustain and string resonance.
