I bought two of these as an upgrade for my church from flimsy fold up stands. We have used them for a month and it is a joyous upgrade--notebooks and charts used to fly off at the most inopportune times. They look great. Also great to be able to keep capos, picks, pencils handy.

The clutch is not as easy and smooth as my more expensive Manhasset stand which I have had for many years.. I have some concern that this may stress the tray connection and lead to problems at some point, but there is no sign of this happening at this time..

great music stand for the money

Features:

this stand is not overly fancy the tilt mech. is plastic, but the stand is deep , so it can hold alot of music.. also the base is very strong and will not easily tip.. all and all a great buy and a very nice upgrade from the cheap fold up pro line stand that this is replacing..

Quality:

i believe this stand will hold up well.. the plastic tilt mech. might be the only weak spot.. it seems well built for the money

Value:

i dont think you could get a better stand for the money.. the same one is twenty bucks more at the place i take gutair lessons..

Overall:

over all a great value for the money. as i mentioned i do not like the plastic tilt mech. very deep music holder nice if you work on alot of diffrent music. since i am taking lessons it keeps my area much less messy

KB95-E / Made in China

Features:
Quality:

#1 - A hole was drilled in the music holder for a rivet that was in the wrong place, so they drilled another hole.  The rivet covered only a small portion of the first hole.  #2 - In the metal base, there were deep pits in one of the feet, where a very poor quality of casting the metal was done.  #3 - The paint was shiny black in some spots, and matte finish in others.

This stand should have never left the factory.  Here is another example of a company who unwisely decided to go to China to make more money.  Their quality has suffered, and their name is now harmed.  I called Musician's Friend about the problems, and they were very friendly and helpful.  They emailed me a postage-paid return slip, and assured me that they would credit my account as soon as the stand arrived back to them.  We ended up buying 10 Manhasset (model 48) music stands - made in USA - all excellent quality.  Manhasset stands are also much easier to pick up and move around, because they do not have that rolled-edge like the Hamilton stands have.
