I like these so much that I replaced ALL other brands of strap locking systems. The part that attaches to the strap can come unscrewed easily which causes the guitar to fall. Here's how I fixed that: I got the Loctite Threadlocker that is PERMANENT for all intents and purposes (you have to apply extreme amounts of heat and force to get it to unscrew). Once I did that, these are the MOST sturdy, reliable design ever, as long as you sink a big enough screw into the part on the guitar itself. These are wonderful and work way better than the other styles that are out there...

Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
Black was off in some areas and I can see brass underneath. I don't think they were used, I am pretty sure from the way the black was flaking off that it was a defect in powder coating.
They also come with a fairly short screws. Schaller comes with a long and short set of screws for less money.
I also do not like the release mechanism. You have to reach inside of the strap and squeeze to release it. I put them on a cheap guitar, not because I think they would brake, but because they don't seem as nice as the Schaller set.

Love these locks, use them on all my guitars. The only issues I have is. If you loose the cap that holds the strap on the lock (witch they do fall off now and then under heavy use) You cannot purchase the cap. You have to purchase the whole lock set. Other than that...It's a wonderful product.
Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
I have installed these on both my Epiphone Accubass and my Rickenbacker 4003FG.
I move around quite a bit and these locks hold securely no matter what I do. They might seem a bit bulky at first glance but the design is well thought out and functions superbly!
As others have mentioned, the screws are indeed smaller than the stock pin screws and Rickenbacker has threading integral to the pins that are of a much larger diameter. The answer is to purchase wooden dowel rods then cut them so that they are slightly recessed into the guitar body then glue them in place. Tap a small pilot hole then install the strap locks.
Should you ever want to reinstall the stock pins just ream the dowel rods out a bit and you're good to go!
Easy to install, heavy duty.
These are top notch locks and hold up to everything I can throw at them with no loss of security at all!
Dollar for dollar they are worth every penny you pay.

Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
I don't do a lot of stage theatrics, I bought these because my strap consistently fell off of my bass when I set it down. At first I was worried about them looking too bulky, but when attached to a nice 2.5" leather strap they fit right in. The black goes well with my bass's sunburst finish and the die-cast construction feels very solid. My strap is thick so I really have to twist these tight to keep them attached, but it hasn't been a huge problem so far and they do what I want them to exceedingly well.
Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
I bought these strap locks because I was having trouble keeping straps securely attached to the body of my guitar. These have been a good investment. They may be a bit on the bulky side, but since I like to loop my guitar cable up through my strap to avoid it being pulled out while I move around, it actually spaces things quite well. I would note to use your existing strap pin screw, the ones included are smaller what most manufaturers use and will strip out the existing hole in no time. All in all a good product.
Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
First of all, USE YOUR STOCK SCREWS!!! If you use the screws that come with the strap locks it will grind out the screw hole and make it unstable. These straplocks also have a quick release system. Overall good product, but I recomend a locking strap unless you have a really cool strap that you want to keep.
Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
I just got these a few days ago and put them on my Tele, I picked them up on a whim because I wasn't really looking for any, but I figured it would be worth the laugh. I've always used the dunlops, and never had any problems with them other than the set up, I always had trouble getting the strap part set up, but I always eventually get it. With the hennessey's, you just tighten a screw and thats it, I'm a jazz player, and don't really jump around on stage, but its always nice to have these, I love 'em, and would really reccomend them to anyone!
Comments about Hennessey Guitar Strap Locks - Pair:
These are really great strap locks. I was a little apprehensive on picking them up not having any reviews but they looked good enough. They definitely get the job done but they are a little to big and bulky for me. Although, one really great thing about them is, I have an epiphone SG and the screw that came with the locks was too narrow for the bottom hole but they are large enough to use the original screws so the locks fit perfect. I ended up getting the Schaller Guitar Strap Locks. They are the best, a little harder to get them to fit...but are still the best!
