Good capo

This capo works. The electric guitar tension version really does mitigate the de-tuning issues caused by most other capos. It's not perfect but it works.

I'm using this on an Epiphone Les Paul.
The good: It holds the strings down without any buzz.
The bad: The spring is so strong and the rubber pad is so soft that the strings sink into the pad, and when you try to remove it, the strings are embedded in the pad and try to come away with the capo.

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

I've used this style capo on my Teles and acoustic for 15+ years now. I LOVE IT!!! Super easy to install. I put the capo directly on the fret instead of behind it and do not have any intonation or dead string issues at all. I keep one in every guitar case.

Quick change, quick to be booed off stage.

    By DaveBF

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

Honestly, I don't know why this product is still being made, let alone sold. It drastically sharpens intonation. My g string was 25 cents sharp with it on. Unless you have acoustic-weight gauge strings, you won't sound right and none of your notes will be in tune.

    Great capo

    By Daniel Schwalbe

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

This capo works great on all my guitars. It has far less tendancy to pull sharp than any other quick clamp capo I've used. Start, Tele, 335, LP, Jazz box, it works on all my electrics. If you don't want to fumble with a Shub on the bandstand then this capo is a reasonable option.

Do not order if you have a GIBSON

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

I ordered this CAPO cause I alway have trouble with my Gibson Les Paul and J180 acoustic pulling sharp when I use other capos. This capo didn't solve either problem. Works awesome on my Tele and my Martin Acoustic. If it must be the short scale on the Gibsons. I did find a capo that works great on the Gibsons finally it is the Green Bird of Paradise Capo it works awesome with no tuning trouble. So the Kyser is going in my tele case.

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

This is my second Kyser Quick-Change capo. The first one was purchased many years ago and is still functioning as it should. I bought this new one so I can have one at home and one at the band rehearsal space. Now I don't have to worry about forgetting to bring my capo.

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

I have used Kyser capos since they first came out years ago. But, I bought a Kyser Electric guitar capo and I use them on my acoustics now. The spring isn't as strong, so there's less pressure on the neck. That makes for a guitar that is in tune when you move the capo up and down the neck. I'll always use the Electric capo no matter what guitar I'm using.

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

I have another 6-string capo from Kyser whose handle is a little wider. When I ordered by phone I just asked for a 6-string Kyser capo; I didn't know there was an "electric" edition, so I'm guessing I should have specified it's for use on an acoustic guitar. I don't know if that would make the handle a little more comfortable when moving the capo. That's why I only gave it 4 stars.

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

This capo is great for my squier strat. It's light and easy to get on and off of my guitar. It's very easy to squeeze, unlike some of the acoustic guitar capos that are very heavy and hard to squeeze. Overall, it's a great capo.

          It's okay

          By Jrod-wW2UX

          from Redding, CA

Comments about Kyser KGEB Quick-Change Electric 6-String Capo:

It's an okay capo. It doesn't work very well on my acoustic. It takes a lot of repositioning it order for both e strings to have a good tone. It also tends to slip out of place and makes the strings buzz. But it works great on my electric. Overall it's a pretty good by for the price.
