Comments about Lace Alumitone Deathbucker Pickup:
High output but extremely clean, full of bottom end and shimmering highs. Very balanced and nice tone, huge improvement over my stock ibanez pups. Wiring was a little tricky but this is a high quality piece and very versatile for all music. High gain is very tight but not overly compressed and clean tones ring out very nicely, goes everywhere in between.
Comments about Lace Alumitone Deathbucker Pickup:
The first thing you notice right off the bat is the design. Its completely unique. I love how light weight it is and how easy it is to install. It is all about the TONE! Lace hit it right on the head when they said it was like HDTV for you guitar. You get extreme output with thunderous bottom end, yet crisp highs. I love my new Deathbuckers!
Comments about Lace Alumitone Deathbucker Pickup:
I am just blown away by the alumitone technology...its a total trip. the tone these things output is On a par if not better than Duncan or EMg or Dimarzio. Compare it to an SH-6 or an 81x. it wins hands down in IMHO. The only downside is that it takes some getting used to the lack of "GUTS" in the actual physical pickup assembly....you wll find yourself wondering how is this thing going to work or even sound good...but trust me its worth the risk because I got all the tone I need in this baby. Truly revolutionary
good stuff. simple no-bones functional wonder. loved the look and the tone surprised me given that the design of the pickup is somewhat less than traditional. Lace is onto something here with this alumitone thing.
Good looking solidly built little thing ...easy to install!
I think for getting a piece of equipment that is like nothing else on the market this is a great value...the looks alone are worth it,

want more deathbuckers please
This is a pretty amazing pickup- changed my sound in my Ibanez RG1570. Really amazing definiton in all spectrums and the lows were so organic yet still solid. Good stuff Lace!
Like nothing you have ever seen...I was at first like "where's the rest of it???" , but once you get past the seeming lack of materials and install it, its amazing. its got a great all aluminum construction that really makes them stand out.
love love....great buy
Comments about Lace Alumitone Deathbucker Pickup:
I took a huuuuuuge chance on these pickups. Before I bought them I had never even seen these anywhere other than word of mouth. As far as features go, they are just humbuckers. Theres not really a lot else to say about that. However, They sound great. They are really sturdy as I've done small tours and beat the hell out of these pickups. As far as price goes, I would pick these over any EMG or Seymour anyday and dish out a few extra bucks. I put a pair of these in my Schecter Tempest Blackjack edition and couldnt be happier. They tend to push the low end a bit, but you can just roll that off on the amps EQ. The thing that really excites me about these things is the fact that the notes cut through even if your on your high gain setting or clean setting. They clean up realllly well and have a really good, thick, creamy tone. All in all, Im really happy about this purchase and will be swapping out my other guitars with lace products.
Comments about Lace Alumitone Deathbucker Pickup:
I just recently installed a pair of Lace Deathbuckers in my Epiphone reissue '58 Korina Explorer. What a tremendous difference! The stock pickups were not bad, but seemed to lack sparkle. The neck pickup had a tendency to loose clarity in the upper register. Not any more! I have never heard such a clear powerful tone out of a passive pickup. The clean sound they provide almost sounds like a high dollar acoustic. Run them with a high gain metal setup, like I tend to, and they sound simmilar to EMG's, but louder and with no loss of definition. The difference being, no routing of the body to hold a battery and pre-amp board. I love these things, especialy for the price. They cover all the bases, from Metal to Jazz.
