Well made. Very good protection. The best value. I just bought another one. It is a tad big for my Lanikai ST Tenor but its' ok since it has a neck strap. Here are the measurements of the largest instrument that will fit in this case.(inches)
Overall length: 27.75", Body length: 12.75"-13", Lower Bout: 10",
Upper Bout: 7.75", Neck Length: 15", Body Thickness: 3.25"
It fits the Cordoba 6-string guitar/ukulele hybrid perfectly.

I just pulled this out of the box. I was in awe of the look, feel, design, the sturdiness, and extra pockets etc. I orignally bought it to fit my new uke coming tomorrow, but then saw it was Lanakai and would fit my LU-6 so I quickly ordered a second generic case for my new purchase. I'm confused a bit now because my LU-6 doesn't fit this case by almost a full inch. The uke is too big! Is a tenor ukulele case just a name for a thicker design for a classic size ukulele? So many ponderies to work through today as I wait the new ukulele and case arriving tomorrow. Hopefully they will both be able to fit in the others case. This is quite awful to advertise it fitting a particuliar model and then IT ALL GOES TO HECK. You have been warned. Love the case though. I just hope I get to use it.

Comments about Lanikai Hardshell Tenor Ukulele Case:

My Lanikai ST spruce top tenor fits well in this case, and there is a velcro neck strap inside to further secure it. A compartment under the neck holds the strap, spare strings and Snark tuner. The zip pocket on the outside can hold several uke books. Very well pleased.

          A good case--if it fits

Comments about Lanikai Hardshell Tenor Ukulele Case:

Contrary to the description, this is NOT a hardshell (fiberglass, hard plastic or wood) case, but rather a fabric-over-polyfoam case. Nevertheless, the stiff foam provides very good protection, and the weight and cost are much less than a true hardshell case.

The only potential drawback is that this is a tight fit for Lanikai's own Heritage Series tenor ukulele. It fits--barely--but if one were to add a strap attachment peg, it probably wouldn't. To be specific, the neck/headstock portion of the case is longer than it needs to be, while the body portion is almost too small. Keep this in mind if you have a larger-than-average tenor ukulele.

Comments about Lanikai Hardshell Tenor Ukulele Case:

I am a music teacher so protecting instruments is a big deal to me. I got a ukulele for Christmas, but did not like the nylon bag of a case that came with. I bought this case and could not be happier. Great protection and fit. Accessory compartment is a good size. The pocket on the outside fits my iPad which has all of my music on it which is an added bonus.

Very pleased with purchase. My tenor Kohala uke fits in it beautifully. Love the storage compartment on the outside which can hold quite a few sheets of music. Feel confident that uke is protected when I travel. Would definitely recommend.

Comments about Lanikai Hardshell Tenor Ukulele Case:

This is a nice-looking, well-built case. To me, it looks as good as any other canvas-covered one.

The case I received has internal dimensions different from those listed in another review. According to my measurements, this case will fit a ukulele up to the following dimensions:

                        Overall length: 28-7/8"
                        Body length: 12-3/8"
                        Body depth: 3-1/8"
                        Upper body width: 7-1/4"
                        Lower body width: 9-3/8"
                        Body "waistline": 6-1/8"

It is a somewhat tight fit for my Yamaha GL-1 guitalele.

The case, empty, weighs exactly 2-1/2 lbs. Its core is very strong styrofoam, similar to what some ice chests are made of. It is padded on the inside with about 1/4" of soft foam and then covered with black velvet. The outside is covered with sheets of hard plastic underneath heavy black canvas, which is secured with chrome-plated screws.

The metal hinges are nearly concealed under the canvas, but they appear to be strong. The hard, padded cores in the base and lid completely surround the instrument. I would feel safe taking my instrument anywhere in this case, except as checked baggage on a plane. For that, I want a steel-covered case.

I am very happy with it.

Comments about Lanikai Hardshell Tenor Ukulele Case:

I bought this for the Luna Guitars High-Tide Ovangkol Tenor Ukulele that I was ordering from MF, and rolled the dice on whether it would fit my Uke (it does).
The case is relatively well-made, with a molded inside (my uke isn't an "exact" fit, but the velcro neck strap keeps it from floppin' 'round) and other than remembering to lay the lid retaining strap inside before zippin' up, it seems fairly worry free.
The outside pocket was capable of holding 5 Mel Bay-type learner books with ease.

Now I don't have the most expensive Tenor uke, but even if I did, this would be the case for it! Hugs my Lanikai Tenor. Fretboard strap keeps it in place and plenty of room in the inside storage bin to hold tuner, extra strings, several 5 hour energies, and some peanuts, snack bars or Twinkies. The outside pouch will easily hold several 21' cables for your elecrics too. And the price? A steal! You won't be disappointed, miles better than a gig bag.
