Having purchased Manhasset stands for years(from music

stores), I was unaware that I needed a rachet tool to put the

stand together.  Hardware store did it for $5, thankfully!  It

seems to be fine now.

Excellent Music Stand for the money

Features:

This is a great music stand that is still portable.  The table is large, the feet are sturdy, and the adjustment pole is easy to operate.  The only minor complaint is that the table could be a little more sturdy, but not a big issue.

I know it is just a music stand. But if you are working from writen scores then you need a reliable stand.  Nothing can be as distracting as an inadequate music stand.  I have been using Manhasset stands for more years than I can remember.  They do their job very well.

This stand is over priced and not very sturdy. The neck of the stand strictly relies on pressure to stay in place.Which in time will fade.It cannot be folded for travel in any way shape or form.If this stand sold for about a third of what it does maybe it would be good for leaving in one place. If you need a good music stand try out a Belmonte 5050 stand.Much more stable and durable. It can also be folded down for transportation!

Strong, simple, well-made. The coupling between the tube and the desk is plastic rather than metal, which seems a weak spot, but otherwise the stand appears very robust (I've had no trouble with plastic, so far). I was a little concerned that the tube might move to easily in the column, causing the desk to slip down, but it seems very solid in that regard. Of course, I've only had for a few days, and time will tell how it does in the long run.
