Comments about Meinl Professional Djembe Shoulder Strap:

Shoulder straps slip off shoulders while playing 'busting' out dance folks disappointment. Might be best to have straps that create cross (X) over on back.

Comments about Meinl Professional Djembe Shoulder Strap:

I bought this for use with a djembe and surdo. My first use is with surdo, which is actually quite a bit lighter than the djembe.

The harness is pretty comfortable and easy to adjust. It holds the drum in a nicely playable position.

The moving part of the clip on one side of the harness fell apart on the first use, but that's okay because gravity keeps the drum in place.

On the second use, one clip broke in half, rendering the harness unusable. Unfortunately, it was at the beginning of my first gig with this gear. I ended up holding the instrument with one hand and playing with the other for the rest of the gig.

So the clips -- arguably one of the most important parts of the product -- are useless due to a poor choice in materials. I would have happily paid a bit more for something that actually works.

I'll keep the harness because it's otherwise a good product and I expect any exact replacement to have the same issue. I'll have to buy some decent clips or carabiners or some such to make this product usable.
