I bought it to replace the poor connectors I had been using. I got these other connectors on the cheap from Guitar Center, but the sound quality was terrible and there was always a persistent 'buzz'. These gold connectors have no buzz, or noise of any kind. Just high fidelity, high quality sound.

These sound great, and they're extremely well made. I rely on them all the time.
Good-quality TRS are always expensive, and the Mogami Gold is no exception. However, these are superb quality. I have several variants of this cable, because my recording interface has TRS ins and outs. I have never had one fail on me.
