OVERVIEW

A smarter, safer, more convenient way to haul your guitar around in between gigs.

The M80 Series Guitar Sleeve is the latest addition to MONO's collection of professional luggage for musicians. Designed to be a minimalist solution for traveling light and simple, the new Sleeve merges MONO's innovative protection and high-quality construction standards into a super slim and stylish design.

The Sleeve is top-loading for quick, stand-up access. Its design allows you to quickly unzip the case and pull your guitar out from the top. This is enabled by a hidden diagonal hinge on the front panel of the case. Once unzipped, the case naturally opens out and to the right. So there's no need to lay the Sleeve down on the floor as it provides you with easy access.

Headlock Automatic Headstock Suspension
The Guitar Sleeve features a slimmer variation of the Headlock - MONO's patented neck suspension system. This slimmer Headlock is molded from solid, shock-absorbing EVA rubber to protect the neck and headstock from impact during falls. When your guitar is zipped-in, its neck is automatically secured inside the Headlock's contoured groove.

EVA Insole
At the bottom, the Sleeve features a super-slim EVA insole to keep the body off the ground and protect the strap pin from bottoming-out when the Sleeve is put down too hard.

Smart Storage
The Sleeve features a messenger bag style storage pouch that's perfect for small laptops, tablets, notebooks, cables and other extras that you might need when traveling light. A small interior mesh pocket keeps those little, critical items close at hand.

Built to Last
The Sleeve is built using only high-test materials with extreme resistance to abrasion and the elements. Outside, the water-resistent shell keeps you on the move, rain or shine.

Dimensions
The Sleeve is designed for standard, solid-body electric instruments. Hollow-body and other instruments with an overall maximum thickness (including bridge, pickups, knobs, toggles, etc.) of 3" are not recommended for the Sleeve. Guitar Sleeve pouch internal fitting dimensions are 12" wide x 10" long (short side), 14.5" long (long side), and can be filled up to 2.5"- 3" deep.

FEATURES
Top-loading design
Water-resistant outershell

EVA insole keeps body off ground and protects strap pin
Riveted handle with industrial webbing for super reliable grip

I absolutely love the quality of this gig bag. what I do not like is that because of the tight fit of the headstock on my PRS custom 24, the strings are mostly out of tune when I take the instrument out of the gig bag. This is not a deal breaker, but I certainly would have taken it into consideration when deciding to get this one or the slight-more-expensive one from Gator

I have somewhat different demands than most. I just don't walk a guitar to / from a car. I walk a mile or two with it, take it on the train and bus. So I need something light as possible and yet be thin and protective. You can't win them all but this case does a great job. Its nicely padded with a water resistant material that looks good. In real life the grey looks better than the black Mono case. I think the backpack straps are very good and comfortable. The huge minus is that there is no room for a tilt back headstock (like a Les Paul) in this case. I tried it and its starting to rip the inside a bit. For this price it was a disappointment. It works fine for my Tele style guitars. They really should warn you about it. The second minus is the storage bag on the side is poorly designed. How did that make it out of design? But its not a deal breaker. It is just a missed change at making it a great bag. Straight neck guitars can rest comfortable in this case - tilt back headstocks should avoid.

Good sturdy materials; offers good protection. Poor design for the pocket, but that is not the deal-breaker here. Unfortunately, this case puts WAY too much pressure on Gibson guitars because of the angle of their headstocks. I bought this for my SG, but I was actually afraid to zip the case shut due to the inordinate pressure on the headstock. It's probably ok for Fenders type headstocks that don't angle back as much. i wanted to like it, but had to return it for this reason.

A well constructed/designed gig bag. If you play a Tele/Esquire this works well. Gibson players don't even think about it. it's too tight for those and you won't like the protection for your angled headstock, trust me.

Comments about MONO M80 Series Electric Guitar Sleeve:

I got this because I already had the M80 bass gig bag, and both provide great protection, especially for the neck, and also look good. The guitar one is identical, except I opted for the "ash" color, which is a cool color except, annoyingly, it lacks the slightly shiny finish of my black M80 bass case, so it looks like a sofa cushion instead of an F1 race car.
The giant flap that conceals the large side-zip pocket on both of these gig bags is ridiculous. It's supposed to make the thing look cool, and I supposed you could make a case for that, but its entire function is to be completely and totally IN THE WAY. Plus it has this stupid -- but cool-looking! -- heavy chrome hook thing that keeps the flap loosely in place. Really guys, get over yourselves.
The over-sized pocket is good, easily holds cables, strap and a few pedals, but the smaller zip pocket at the edge of the large pocket is a joke. It can't hold much besides picks, and I use it for that, but it runs almost the entire length of the large pocket, WAY overkill for something that can only hold a few picks anyway, and since it's INSIDE the large pocket, you have to deal with the stupid flap whenever you want to get to it. It could just as easily be on the outside of the case -- oh sorry! that would disrupt the oh-so-cool Styling of the thing. Looks are way more important than function, after all.

I was looking to upgrade the gig bag that came with my Fender Pawn Shop series Mustang bass and ordered the MONO bass sleeve. The neck support was too low on the bass so I tried out the guitar sleeve. It's a perfect fit! Just enough room for a Mustang bass (can't comment on any other short-scale bass's fit). As an added bonus I now have a nice guitar gig bag too.

I was looking for a quality soft case for my PRS Custom 24 to use for short to medium trips where I'm the one handling my equipment. This case is light; but keeps my instrument snug and well secured in the padding and neck block. I'm very happy with it.
