I took a chance after watching the products vid on youtube. I am so happy with this cymbals cleaner because it cleans AND polish them in one application. It does require a little bit of elbow grease but I literary cleaned my hi hats in under 4 mins. Ive tried everything on my sabian and zildjians from their own company products, to cymbla swipes , groove juice and so on. What I like about this is that it works very well on brilliant and natural cymbals.

...but to be fair, most of what i was trying to clean were insanely oxidized, extrememly dirty cymbals, some of which had not been cleaned in A DECADE. So yeah, there's that. You may want to clean your cymbals more than once every ten years, which would be a smart thing to do. Not the case here, however. Got a mixed bag of results.

It performed well on a 20" Zildjian A Custom Ping Ride and 18" Sabian AAX Chinese (one of the decade cymbals), both of which had green sweat marks left uncleaned on 'em for many, many years. Brought trememndous shine back to both of them, but the oxidization marks went from green to a still noticeable (but thankfully less gross) black. Lots of shine and a fair amount of clean.

Performed extremely well on a very rarely used, one year old 18" Wuhan Crash Ride. This cymbal was barely dirty at all, realistically.

Performed rather poorly on a pair of very dirty (the top hat was pretty brutal looking, man, I gotta say) 14" A. Zildjian Rock Hats that also hadn't been cleaned since 2004, ten years ago. The bottom hat, somehow, was in alright shape to begin with, and after cleaning it, looked way worse than it had before I applied the cleaner. Lots of smudging that won't come off on these hats, unlike most of my other cymbals.

Also performed not-very-impressivly on a 18" K Zildjian multi-use cymbal (which I use as a crash) that was 100% UNUSED when given to me in 2010 by a friend who, for whatever reason, had it but didn't play drums (probably not new though, per se). I'm saying with near certainty it was probably never cleaned before today. Again, the result may have looked worse than before I applied the product to it.

I know it's probably my own fault (edit: it sure is, dummy) for, you know, not cleaning these cymbals in what seems like forever, so yeah, I know. I wouldn't recommend using cloth towels to buff the cymbals with, unless you own one hundred towels that you will probably never be able to use again. Paper towels worked fine for me, as long as you change the area of said paper towel frequently enough so you arent smearing the black crud you just cleaned off back all over your cymbals. The cleaner honestly only affected the logos on my Zildjian Rock Hi Hats, weirdly none of the others. It didn't erase them completely but removed them a good bit, and this you should probably know about. I will get the Nomad cymbal cleaner again to reclean my cymbals in another 6-7 months or so, & I imagine I'll have better results. Maybe I won't, who knows?

Bottom line - kind of a mixed bag, as I said before. The ride and china are looking pretty great and shiny now, as does my crash ride. But the first two aren't necessarily "cleaner" just about a thousand percent brighter. That doesn't sound like it makes much sense, but that's what I'm typing. The hi hats and K crash didn't come out so well. The top hi hat cymbal, the china and the ride were probably the three dirtiest of what I had cleaned. The bottom hat was in excellent shape for the length of time it had remained COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED / NEGLECTED and it now looks worse than they did an hour ago. Smudginess abounds.

Do yourself a favor kids, POLISH YOUR STUFF SOONER THAN I DID!

Comments about Music Nomad Cymbal Cleaner - Acid-Free Cleaner, Polisher, Protectant for Brilliant Finishes:

I want to be fair. My cymbals are old vintage ones. So my results weren't amazing, but i think I can only expect limited results from any product.

The part I found difficult was the amount of work it took to get the product on and off. It isn't easy. Additionally, be careful. I bleached out a shirt and pants that got a little cleaner on it. Make sure to wear gloves too.

I recommend the product, but maybe look for other cleaning methods for vintage cymbals.

Excellent product.... but you have to be very careful when cleaning the name of your cymbal. It "may" make the name a little lighter than it was. However, It cleans and give a GREAT shine to your cymbal(s)

I've applied easier to use spray on cleaners for cymbals that aren't very dirty. However, the cleaner choices for cymbals with heavy patina all seem to require several applications and a lot of elbow grease. This product is no different, but hard work will deliver the desired results.

Comments about Music Nomad Cymbal Cleaner - Acid-Free Cleaner, Polisher, Protectant for Brilliant Finishes:

I tried this with a set of Zildjian A Customs and also a set of K Brilliant hats. The first A Custom's I tried had not been cleaned in 5-7 years. It took a bit of work but they came pretty clean. The newest of the bunch (less than a year old) cleaned up really nice and looked like new - so I suppose the lesson here is clean them more often. The K brilliant's look great too.

The instructions on the bottle say to apply it, rub it, and then remove it immediately. When you do this, you get a smeary black mess all over everything. I used a microfiber cloth for the initial cleaning part. Once that dried slightly, then I took a towel to wipe off that initial mess. Next I took a 3rd set of towels to wipe off the smeary black film. Finally I took a clean microfiber cloth to do the final polish. They came out pretty good, but you will go through a TON of towels this way. If you use the same towels, you start wiping the same gunk on the clean cymbals. And make sure you use old towels/rags because they are completely black too. I might try using paper towels next time for the initial wipe-off but that's going to waste a LOT of paper towel too.

I would also recommend recommend wearing old clothing and gloves (work gloves or rubber gloves) because my hands were a mess and my clothes were a mess. I had to use mechanic's hand degreaser (the orange/pumice kind) to get it off and even that took a lot of work. Now my hands just smell funny (ok they stink) from the cymbal cleaner.

This is the perfect cleaner for Paiste brilliant finish cymbals. I used it on my Alpha's and they looked better than they did new. The cleaner also did not affect the Paiste logos. This is the best cleaner I have ever used to remove fingerprints and stick tracks.
I also used this cleaner on my Sabian AA rock ride and XS20 splashes. On these it left a beautiful shine, but it left the color somewhat inconsistent, but it isn't obvious from a distance, only up close. The Sabian logos did fade a bit.
I use all brilliant finish cymbals, and have for a long time, and this cleaner gives them a luster like no other cleaner I have used. Don't leave the cleaner on long, rub it out rather quickly for best results. On larger cymbals only do about 1/4 of it at a time. The instructions say to use circular motions to buff it, but I got better results following the lathing.
