It's a gig bag, not a armored case, right? It serves it's purpose. The bag is just a little tight, zipping up. Maybe that's good. There's no play, in the bag. But, I'm afraid the zipper may get stressed out, in time. But for the price.....who can really complain?

I had purchased one of the old "Musicians Friend" brand gig bags on close out and was very please with the quality and padding. That is why I bought this one, thinking it would be the same. It is not. The outside cover is made of sturdy material and the inside is the standard slippery nylon material, the only problem is that there is virtually no padding in between. The in-between material has minimal "squish" and has less thickness than your typical bath towel. It's best use is as a dust cover for your extra instruments. It should prevent scratches, but if something heavy or sharp hits your instrument there is going to be damage. Very dissapointed. I do not recommend this gig-bag for regular transportation of an instrument you are trying to protect.

Comments about Musician's Gear Bass Guitar Gig bag:

Spend a little more and get a thicker bag that will provide more protection for your bass. If you need a backup bag then this can suffice, but really, just get one that's more padded.

Comments about Musician's Gear Bass Guitar Gig bag:

I ordered this gig bag (it may have been on sale) when I ordered a new Fender Precision Bass and wish that I had spent the extra $$$ to get a gig bag with some more padding in it to protect my guitar. This is not a bad product, the workmanship is fine, it DOES carry the guitar, but there is very little padding, and the pocket for storing your cables or whatnot is tiny. It does have straps for carrying like a backpack.

Comments about Musician's Gear Bass Guitar Gig bag:

For carrying new 5 string to and from church and a few other gigs. Bag is functional and light. However, it does not "grip" the guitar snugly - probably because it is a generic gig bag. (My Ibanez Mikro Bass gig bag has very snug fit on my Ibanez Mikor Bass.) Without the guitar inside this bag has absolutely no shape - i.e. flimsy. Very small pouch for cord, strap, etc. Carrying straps are a bit awkward. Carrying handle with Velcro is cumbersome. Will take some getting use to, but I do not expect to use it extensively. Might look for hard case for a little better protection.

Comments about Musician's Gear Bass Guitar Gig bag:

Seems to be made well with durable materials, but padding is thin. It does what's need to keep my bass from getting scratched and dinged around the house and light travel. Would recommend something heavier for more extensive traveling. Good case for the price.

Comments about Musician's Gear Bass Guitar Gig bag:

This is a decent bag at a great price. The thickness of the padding is minimal, but it does provide a reasonable level of protection for the musician who occasionally plays away from home. The best thing about it the large size. Most gig bags and hard cases are smaller. It fits my Dean Edge 10 bass, which measures 13-1/2x45". It's a little too narrow for my BC Rich Warbeast, which measures 14-1/2x42". Secure zipper and carrying strap, nice gig bag.
