I've been using these strings exclusively for over 10 years. I buy 30 sets when I make a purchase. I use them when I perform and record and change them before hand so they are fresh. They sound like they are brand new every time I use them because they are. Whoever heard of trying to make a set of strings last a month and expect them to be all bright and shiny at the end of it. I know that's never worked for me and I'm no hack. I'm a banging, strumming, plucking feedback hound. What's the best way to get a good full tonal feedback and not some scratchy garbage? New strings! You can't get that kind of effect from a rope. Give someone 2 guitars with 2 different brand of strings of the same gauge and they'll be hard pressed to tell you one from the other. These are good strings. They sound good. They don't break. You can change them often and the price is absolutely right. One recommendation: I would like to see them available in 11's because if you set up your Floyd Rose correctly it will stay in tune better, sound better with 11's and you won't be able to tell the difference in the tension.
1. First of all, nickel is considered corrosion-resistant which is why it was originally used for plating metals such as iron and brass and is used in certain alloys so that they will retain a high silvery polish; and, it is still used for corrosion-resistant pure-nickel plating. What does this mean? Clean your guitars and wipe down your strings when you've finished playing or your finger will turn colors no matter what brand of strings you use.

2. No string just breaks! If it does and or keeps on breaking then you need to put a file on your machine head, run some graphite in your bone or get a new one because it's cut too deep already and or, run a small buffer wheel from a Dremel over the saddles and get the kinks out so they won't cut.
Good and constant quality. If your strings are sounding flat, try placing your thumb in the middle of the back of the neck and adjust your strap so your guitar isn't around your knees like your underwear.
The reviews I've read only prove that we can complain about anything regardless of the fact. As for value, they cannot be beat. I give them an overall value of 9 because I'm sure there are viable reasons why some strings are better than others and or these in particular.

A while back, I needed a quick, cheap pair of guitar strings to replace the ones I'd been using, I believe a set of light D'addarios. I was pretty short on funds, so I hadn't replaced them in months, and opted for these as a way of saving a bit of money, but still improving my tone. No matter how cheap these strings were, absolutely anything should sound better than the time-worn pair, right?

Sadly, the second I put these on, I felt an instant sense of regret. They were a bit brighter, sure, but in a cheap, noticeably tinny way--really more dull and high than anything. To me, they sound pretty close (maybe worse) than the factory strings on most guitars.

And just like factory strings, that isn't to say they're useless. After a fair amount of adjusting to amp and pickup settings, they can definitely approach par, and in a pinch, I'm sure they'd do fine. Just don't kid yourself into thinking you won't notice the drop in quality. They seem more meant to get you by than anything.

Comments about Musician's Gear Electric 10 Nickel Plated Steel Guitar Strings:

As a guitar repairman I have used virtually all brands of strings as I ready musicians guitars to hit the stage again. These strings are the least expensive of all on the internet and are a value for the working musician as they may be changed after every show and not break the bank doing so. Keep up the good work MF!

Comments about Musician's Gear Electric 10 Nickel Plated Steel Guitar Strings:

These are truly an excellent bargain for the price! I do guitar repairs and set ups. Sometimes strings will break and I need to re-string an instrument more than once while working on it. I tried these and I am very impressed with the quality. I don't think they hold their tone as long as a more expensive set but the price is perfect if you want to expirment. Highly recommend!

I bought a box because they were inexpensive, so far two of the three sets I've used, the high E string came unraveled at the ball end.

Comments about Musician's Gear Electric 10 Nickel Plated Steel Guitar Strings:

I have used Musician's Gear strings on my acoustic guitar for awhile now with excellent results; so I decided to try their strings for my electric guitar. I play mostly rhythm with heavy bass notes. The genres I typically play are southern rock, rock-a-billy, blues, country and western swing. So far I have been very impressed with these strings. They maintain a great tone despite the pounding I give them. They have a good feel and stay in tune. I definitely recommend them.

I have been using these strings for a few years.
Never had any real issues. Some of the sets are a little dirty, but I always put string cleaner/conditioner on when I change strings for longer life.

the .010 string is too short for my fender jazzmaster but all other brands have fit so far otherwise i use these strings on my other guitars they work fine and sound good my finger sweat destroys all strings eventually and these corrode faster than premium brands but at this price you can change them often
