I bought this to replace the piece of junk that came with my Michael Kelly Festival Pack - great mandolin, terrible (&smelly) case. I took a chance on this case, realizing because of the price that it probably would not be very good. I was wrong, this case is definitely the best deal out there for an f style hardshell. Nice buckles, tough exterior, heavily padded and squishy interior that doesn't shed, and it is not smelly! Buy now!

The mandolin case fits my Fender model 63 mandolin pefectly.The latches are adequate and the Tolex covering is as good as on my other way more expensive guitar cases by TKL.The interior padding is very thick allowing no shifting of the mandolin at all.I am very plesed with the case and the great service that I received from the seller.

This case was almost to short for my mandoling. It gives good protection but the quality of workmanship is not there. It will work since this is not an expensive mandolin but I will not buy another of these cases.

Loar LM 520 just barely fits in this case, only about 1/4" or less clearance at the headstock. Well padded, hoping as the foam conforms to the mandolin it will be a better fit. Actually it's a great fit for my Loar LM 220 A style mando. Latches ar very slightly misaligned but I have found if you start at the rear latch and work forward it works pretty good. It is an archtop though it doesn't look like it in the pictures. Seems to be a solid case.

It's my own fault for not measuring my mandolins before ordering... I assumed my Kentucky KM-805 and Rover RM-75 would fit as they are "standard" copies of Gibson F models... turns out the case is a little over one inch too short.. the body of each is really a little too tight a fit, but could be forced into the case, but the headstock stuck out of the case an inch when the body was in.

See the Quality section. It does protect the instrument well which is what I wanted. I hope the warp will eventually go away.
I will say I have another one of these cases for an electric guitar with no problems and I think it will be around for years to come. Just don't know what happened to this one.
Good hardware, arched top (strength) and well padded.
I think this particular case was built on either a Monday or Friday afternoon. The hardware is crooked, the top has to be worked to get it to close (warped) and the leather flap used to open the storage pocket pulled loose the second time I opened it (it was not riveted all the way through the pocket door, just into the material only).
It does, however, do what I bought it for - protect the instrument and I have rivets and a rivet gun. It's too much of a pain to return it and try and get another one.
Would have given it a 10 except for the things I mentioned in the Quality section. I think, in the condition I received it, I should have only paid $29 vice $49.
