Simple to use fairly solid and secure, the whole system is a very thin aluminium which makes it very light but not the most sturdy, Had no problems with it, held 8 par 34 cans and a relay box.(did not need the T tops)
I just was being very careful not to over tighten all the knobs because they looked flimsy , But had no Problem with it,
Truss came with 2-1 foot sleeves to insert in the truss halves on the joint where they link, i guess to prevent the sag some were complaining about, Again I had No problem,
Good value for the price paid and made the stage look like a million!

Being a new DJ on a very tight budget I decided that this lighting stand and truss system would be perfect. I was so wrong. For a breakdown of my ratings:Features: I guess it would do the job if the proper t-clamps were included. Right now the features are of no advantage.Quality: The stands seem to be built good, and the truss is sturdy.Value: If I have to spend the same amount of money that this stand cost to make it usable, where is the value in that?Overall:The t-clamps supplied to hold the truss to the main stands were 1 1/4 inch diameter clamps, but the main shaft on the main stands are 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Therefore, I'm not able to put this together with the supplied hardware. Instead, I will need to purchase 1 1/2 t-clamps to make this system work. What makes this bad is there are a total of 6 t-clamps that are needed to make this unit a whole. Four of them for the truss, and two of them for the light bars on top of the main stands.

If you will use this outside would highly recommend using anchoring. I use DOG-TIE-DOWN STAKES with Antenna wire and U-Bolts. I have loaded this thing down with 8 par38 cans, Laser Light, Fog and three moons. It can take it all with ease.

The biggest complaint about this affordable and well built truss unit is the box used for shipping. Made in China and shipped by container, it doesn't see the abuse doled out by UPS, etc. The box is not rugged enough for the real world and arrived with miles of packaging tape, applied somewhere along the journey, to hold it together. Given the number of parts (dozens), it's a miracle everything arrived unscathed. It should be shipped inside a durable container.

Dented in shipping. Truss sags easily. Hardware is soft - stripped threads by hand but is easy to replace. Great for small applications. I bought this just to get by. Doing weddings. Definitely plan on upgrading.

I have used this once , and I think with a little modifying , it will be ok I need to make bigger holes and bolts (needs to be 3/8 instead of 5/16 in order to hold the lights more sucure), other than that , I believe it's a great product .

great for the price
If you have to many lights on the truss, the middle of the truss begins to sag, and come appart, even with the screws tigntened all the way. I bought 2 pins and drill holes were they meet..... Works Great!!

good for the buck as long as you are willing to put a lil work in it
very sturdy very well built the holes are not pre drilled in the truss the t bars are drilled middle construction is not so put well put together but it is very strong and it does come with bolts for up to 10 lights

I am the co-owner of a mobile d. j. company. This truss system is awesome. When I first got it, I thought it would not work for what I needed. But I was sadly mistaken. Not only does it fit perfectly along the edge of most wedding reception dance floors, but it works well for outdoor parties. I could not believe how many comments my customers have made about my lighting set up.
I like the T- bar lighting stands, I can hold alot of lights on the truss and t-bars. The only thing I would add to the system would be a built in power strip to plug the lights into without having a mess or wires exposed, as well as a way to hide the wires inside of the tubing.
This set up was the perfect fit to my mobile d. j. business. Just what the doctor ordered.
This truss system is well worth every penny. I was not sure if I would like it once i saw it put together, but once I put the lights on it, I knew it was money well spent.

just received it and set it up. Instructions may have been more of a hindrance than a help but I got it up quickly either way. The bars feel very sturdy, the joints may wear in the future but should prove easy to replace if needed. Easy to break down and store and move if you're mobile. I'm very happy with this. Cannot wait to put it out there with my banner and lights all on it!

I Do alot of DJ work, and I decided to upgrade to a Truss, I wasnt looking to spend alot on one, cause I had never used one, and I wanted to see how it would fit with my lighting equipment. Let me say its fantastic! Its a great Value and its very durable!
