Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

It's your normal mic stand...

Except that the thread piece spins in the tube and theres no way to tighten it. Can be really annoying. Makes most mics unable to be adjusted correctly. Tried to duct tape it, didn't work.

Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

The stand itself is a great bargain. However, the boom is so poorly designed it's not useable in a live setting. The thumb screw to adjust boom in/out falls out when turned an eighth of a turn.

Expectation was low anyway

By Allan Wolfe

from Undisclosed

Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

It serves the purpose. The price is right. Buying this product seems to be a crap shoot, though.
I didn't high too high expectations. The price was right.

Everything tightented up with no problem (read other reviews where pipe size didn't fit the hole intended for it).

Bought 2 stands. One was fine. The other had a broken clip and the rubber feet wasn't as stable/flat as it should have been. Like I said not too high expectation here. Just expected it to hold a microphone.

Cheap Price For Cheap Equipment!

By eZ1WiD3XN

from Texas

Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

I ordered 3 of these mic stands, I figured they would be low quality but not this bad. The threaded ends didn't even match up, the female threads on one boom were too big to screw onto the stand, I had to put teflon tape on them to make it work! On the another stand the threads were spinning in the tube, so I couldn't tighten it up, I had to drill a hole & put a roll pin in it to keep it from turning! The third one worked ok ... so 1 out of 3 might be ok if you want to take a gamble. Go ahead & spend a little more & get better stuff!

Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

The thing doesn't even stay up, hobbles even after you tighten it. Doesn't even come with a mic clip. Don't buy this

Good Stand For Home Studio or On Stage

By Natedeezy

from Miami, FL

Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

This is a great quality, and sturdy mic stand, it's not made cheap at all. This stand can handle a lot and is made strong and the metal is pretty thick. You can tell it will last for ever. I've only had it for a week now, but the quality is good and I recommend this stand for any musician new or old, home studio or on stage.

Great value

By TP-HSnk_

from Denver, CO

Comments about Musician's Gear Microphone Stand with Fixed Boom:

I was expecting this to be some cheap aluminum thing that would tip over if you looked at it. That is definitly not the case. I couldn't believe how heavy the box was. The base feels like it's made of cast iron or something similar, which makes it very stable. It works as a stand should. Everything moves smoothly, and locks tight. A pro who's been doing this for years would probably laugh at it, but for everyone else, don't hesitate to buy it!
