The 8 space case arrived intact in a box, and without extra packing material. So far so good. The dimensions, with lids, are 20 1/2 inches wide, 23 1/4 inches deep, and 15 3/8 inches tall. It has 4 rubber feet, recessed spring handles with rubber hand grips, spring loaded twist lock latches, ball corners, aluminum edging, and black laminate. Okay, lets open her up. Latches work fine, covers come off easily. Front rack rails attached with bolts and nuts. No rear rack rail. Bag of screws & washers for attaching equipment. Wood thickness is 5/16" and tapers to 4/16" at latch for 3". Dimensions front to back open are 18 1/4", top to bottom 14 11/16" , and left to right 19 3/4". Pop rivets attach all latches with washer backing. Walls attached with L brackets. It seems sturdy enough for home use or light gigs. Time will tell. I think I'm going to paint the interior with a coat of rubber paint.

This case is one of the most affordable hard-sided cases on the market. The latches and handles are very nice for the money, There are only rails in the front, the whole thing is very lightweight.
This thing is light, very light, the latches, while nice on a case at this price, feel flimsy and I suspect will break in time. the lids fit snugly, but the handle feels like it will probably pull right out of the side of the case, you can feel the side of the case bend as you lift it. I don't have amps or anything very heavy in there. I have a 3 space line mixer, a DBX comp limiter, a 1 space ventilated rack spacer and a Furman PL-Plus power supply, Not heavy items and they seem to overload the case. Honestly this is a great rack case for gear that needs a home but rarely goes anywhere.
This is the cheapest hard sided case anywhere. Especially with recessed latches and handles.

A very nice rack for the money for sure. Came in less then the estimated days and was well packed. Works great for rack equipment but i wouldnt put anytihng else very heavy in there for the handles seem slightly week and you just wouldnt want to crack it. But overall great rack.

You get what you pay for. I just got mine this week. The construction on this case is not very sturdy. It looks as if they used some kind of thin laminate wood. I'm not sure about this one. I will use it and see will it work. But as a caution!!! Im not sure just yet about this one.

I have purchased the 2 & 6 space racks and for the price they are pretty good. Another post stated the handle for the 2 space was on the cover and not on the side as pictured on the web site. I thought maybe it had changed but not so. With the style of latch I can understand where the handle is. I have a Hartke amp in it and it feels like it will work fine. I do wish it came in a shorter depth. The 6 space needs to be shorter also as it's not heavy duty enough to use for power amps or any heavy gear. Fit and finish are good but check any screws as the ones holding my rack rails on the 6 space started coming loose. I think for the most part these are very good cases for lighter gear. Just keep in mind that they are deep cases.

Its a flight case. This does have good protection against bangs and bumps (dropped it first thing while screwing in my amp. It is a little larger than what I needed but gives plenty of room for my pedal and cables. The only downside to this rack is that there is only one handle instead of two, can make it bulky when you have a heavier tube amp installed.

This thing survived 2 years of touring 3 months cycles 3 or 4 gigs a week ..as cheap as everyone says this thing is .. as long as you don't go throwing anything around and treat it the same way you treat your guitar in a hardcase. you will be fine .. my only gripe is as this was my first rack buy .. I wish I would have known that there were more than just one standard deapth ... these things if reconstructed could hold double the gear these boxes are so deep . I am currently looking for a not so deep . but not because this thing hasn't done its job. Weekend Warriors this is a dream cometrue if your practice equipment is the same equipment you use on stage. The 4 spacer is a bit heavy and the depth makes this bulky. but a dream none the less

Is exactly what I was expecting for the price. Is made of thin wood that flexes some if leaned on but is great for the price. For someone who takes care of their gear and doesn't have it getting banged around a lot, this works great. We used it to store a line mixer for our drummer to run loops and click out of. The metal corners and edges help strengthen the case.

fits all my rack gear perfectly; really clean looking design; constructed out of some fairly thin wood, don't think it would survive a fall, honestly. more for organizational use than travel, i suspect.
