2x the mic stand at half the price you can't go wrong!
Ok, I have left a review before whan I first got these, for an update, i have had them a little over a year, I use them every week for myself and a background singer, they are broken down and transported after each use and I have not found any problems as of yet that would make me not purchase them again, matter of fact I am getting 2 overheads in a couple of weeks.
I do find that the more they are used the more you have to tighten the boom connection to the verticle support, they just twist loose.
As for the fixed boom for those that don't know, there are tlescopic booms that colapse into themselves, these simply are adjustable from the mount as to how far they stick out on both ends of the upright pole, the telescopic is only adjustable on the mic end and isn't slid through a vise type of mount.
There you have it.
Not the best quality for profesional stage setups, but does the job very well.
I would rather lose or break one of these for the price than spend $100 on one and do the same.
If you are on a budget but are worried about it tipping over, go to the dollar store and get some ankle weights, Easy fix.
2 for $30 value is all it is.

I have four of them that I use in my studio and for gigs. I've had them for a little over three years. For the most part they've held up pretty well for a low budget boom stand. You have to treat them with kid gloves, though. They will break easily. My biggest problem with them is the the threaded end where you connect the mic clip can become loose from the boom and just spins inside the tube. The way I fixed this problem is I welded the threaded end to the tube. These stand work great if you are in a pinch. Just be ready to fix them if you take them on the road with you.

Bought these for traveling to church functions. Compact and easy to transport. A little flimsy, but ok for the price that I paid.

      Great for the price

Comments about Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom (2-Pack):

Decent stands , I wouldn't expect them to hold up for touring but for most gigs and definitely rehearsal/home use they're fine. For the money , you can't go wrong. Boom hardware is OK , just don't manhandle it.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom (2-Pack):

These are pretty decent stands. I use them at my music school and occasionally for gigs. **Trick**. Take the screw on the boom off and coat it with WD-40. It makes the stand operation much smoother and believe or not, it doesn't drift now. Overall a good buy if you need some stands.

Comments about Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom (2-Pack):

I got 2 of these for gigging a few times a month. No problems yet besides the screw that holds the slide for the boom to bring the mic closer or further is not the best. It can over tighten easily and strip out. Also the threaded piece where your mic clip screws on comes loose. Other than that great for the musician on a budget.

We as a band use these stands for sure sm47 mics which are not bulky or heavy, one might want to upgrade to a more stable stand for a heavy condenser mic
