Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Telescoping Boom  

The stand is well made, but requires care. First, It has, as many knobs as, a sound system. Second, I use a Shure KSM microphone, which is rather heavy, and can easily topple any tripod. In contrast, the stand is solid metal making it extremely sturdy, and can be adjusted countless ways enabling easy placement.

I have had problems with the microphone stand, but it was not because of the design. In my opinion, the stand is not packed adequately to prevent damage to the small thumb screw. I received two with identical damage. The box they come in, protects the sides very well, but not the ends. During shipping the stands can be caused to slam from end to end, damaging the small boom thumbscrew collar. Otherwise this is an outstanding value for the price. This stand has a superior height adjustment collar. Although it is made of plastic, this baby is tough. I have had other brands break simply because they were over-tightened. I would give this product five stars, but until they improve the shipping package, I'll rate is as a four.

The turnscrews for adjusting the boom are flimsy plastic things that loosen up if any pressure is applied to the stand. Also, it doesn't come with a mic clip. I know the pic shows it without a clip, but come on. All this means is the total cost of the stand just went up four bucks because you have to buy a separate clip.

With this, you get what you pay for.

It does the job. The price is good for what you get, but it's definitely not the most sturdy or long-lasting mic stand out there. And no mic clip!

It's a good stand, does it's job.  I would purchase it again with no hesitation.

I purchased these to complete an audio set I bought.   It didn't come with mic stands.  These stands are better than the stands I received with the mic kit that I purchased for my drums.   They are inexpensive but they are heavier and have the telescoping boom.

Works for me.  No issues

Decent for the price.
