Comments about Oasis OH1 Guitar Humidifier With OH-2 Digital Hygrometer:
Finally got around to installing a unit in each of my Ovation Custom Legend guitars. One is a 1985 model and the other a 2005 model. Since we have lived in Arizona now for 7 years, I wondered if I shouldn't be using such a device. Neither guitar has any cracks in the top (Ovations only have a top), but I don't want to take a chance.

Comments about Oasis OH1 Guitar Humidifier With OH-2 Digital Hygrometer:
Very pleased, I have bought three so far.
I bought three of these combos for my 3 expensive 12 string guitars. The OH3 contains the hygrometer, humidifier, and necessary case clips, and velcro fasteners. I clip the hygrometer on the compartment cover. The hygrometer keeps track of high and low temps as well as high and low humidity in the case. The humidifier itself sits supported by the strings, in the sound hole, dispersing humidity where it is needed. Never leaks, never touches the guitar, and is good for a week before a refill is needed. Make sure you use distilled water. It even tells you when that refill is needed by starting to collapse. Why try to humidy your entire house and spend load of dough, when you can humidify your entire inside case instead. It also puts you in the habit of keeping your guitar in its' case when not being played. That in itself protects the guitar from accidents, Although the OH3 combo set is a little expensive, repairing your instrument due to cracks from dry out is much more expensive. You know what they say, an ounce prevention........ Buy it.
Long lasting, and great quality. Does the job.
A little pricey, but it does what it says it will. How many items actually do that nowadays.
Comments about Oasis OH1 Guitar Humidifier With OH-2 Digital Hygrometer:
Either the OH1 or the OH2 by themselves deserve a 10, but together, as a pair, they are truly fantastic. As mentioned above it's nice to know that the humidifer will NOT drip. I was concerned that it would drip if the case was on its side, but I've never had it drip in any position. My favorite feature of the OH2 is that it is very, very slim. You can either use a clip to mount it (I've never used the clip) or you can mount it anywhere else using little velcro tabs. I stick the velcro tabs inside my guitar case and the hygrometer stays on the lid, so that when I close the case its sensor is right above the soundhole. Perfect match. Forget planet waves (which have many products I love), forget about all the others. This is the best on the market based on years of experience both selling and using humidifiers and hygrometers.
I used to manage a guitar store in the desert. We sold a whole bunch of humidifiers, and I wish we had carried the Oasis OH1. Many humidifiers have the tendency to drip if overfilled. The special cloth used not only makes dripping in your guitar impossible, but it also easily visibly shows when it needs refilled. The pairing of the OH2 digital hygrometer is a match made in heaven as many guitarists don't realize the damage they can cause by OVER-humidifying guitars. The hygrometer lets me know when its time to take out the OH1. The OH2 also reads humidity and temp when NOT on, so you don't have to run out the battery. It will record the highest/lowest temperature and humidity even when off. Then you simply open the case and turn it on, check the highs and lows to see how your guitar has been.
I bought my first OH1 about 3 years ago, and it still works and looks brand new. It is easy to fill and safe and easy to mount. I just bought a second one for a new guitar. It's the only humidifier I will use. I've had the same battery in the OH2 for over 3 years. Still works like new every time!
I've closely inspected many other humidifiers and hygrometers. Some inferior products actually cost more. While this isn't the cheapest humidifier you can buy, it is definitely the best.
Comments about Oasis OH1 Guitar Humidifier With OH-2 Digital Hygrometer:
I bought this humidifier for my Gibson SJ-100and it is the easiest, least messy, and most effective unit I could have asked for. My son's Yamaha had a small crack in the body and the Oasis OH1 made it disappear. I would recommend it to anyone.
Comments about Oasis OH1 Guitar Humidifier With OH-2 Digital Hygrometer:
Bought this for my Breedlove C250/EF. Within a week of getting it I noticed a huge improvement in my action and playability. Easy to use, easy to fill, and lasts about a weke on average. The digital hydrometer is useful to monitor the relative humidity of your guitar case, but you have to turn it on and leave it in a closed case for a few minutes to get an accurate reading. No real complaints about this. No leakage, doesn't touch your guitar, no complaints!
