So, I purchased this knowing I had more than just par cans to mount. That said, I did research that the system is rated at 200 pounds, which is normally half of what 'engineers' will rate things, but, lets just stick with the 200 pound rating (You can find it on Onstage's website). I have 8 LED slim pars, 2 ADJ LED COMScan's, 1 ADJ Vertigo and a Scorpion on the truss. It bows in the center like a...well, lets just leave it at that, it bows, noticeably. I was almost afraid to leave it up. I am very disappointed. The centers are plastic, the ends for the truss are plastic, seriously, I have the dual tier light bar stands, they have never had a problem holding ALL my lights, much less most of them. I can see Onstage cut a few corners to sell something on the cheap. I can't vouch for the other reviewers here, but, I do sound and I do lighting and this truss, at about 100 pounds is questionable (Load WAS spread evenly). I'd post a pic but, that's a no-no on MF's site. If you do a little research you will see that OS offers a LS9790 at a much higher price. Notice thr change in design for centers...obviously I am not the only who has noticed. Frankly, I think the company should offer free 'upgrades' to the re-designed system. If your looking for something to hold more than just a couple par's, keep looking, this is too cheap for even a mobile DJ on a budget.

I got this at a great price from Musician Friends! This hold several intelligent lights, pinspots and a 40 inch LED flat screen. Only issue i have had is that the securing pins can be hard to remove if the holes are not exactly centered. This is best setup and tore down with 2 people. You could do with 1 person but would take additional time and securing the pins can be a hassle if both sides are not aligned at the same height.

This is a pretty decent truss, easy set up and good quality for the price, my only complaint is the box it came in, ups gave it a ride, surprised all parts were there. thats not musicians friends fault. they were awesome, customer service impressed me,I will recommend them to anyone any time and look forward to future business with them. 5 Stars to them

This truss system is very good. I use it to mount 8 lights and a mirror ball. I mount my pin spots on the ends of the T bars and turn them out away from the mirror ball and shine the pins back. It works great. and at the 45 angle I could add more lights. The only small issue is getting the security pins out at tear down. The truss has to be perfectly level and all thumb screws lose to get them out. And that is probably more operator error than anything. It is lightweight that is good. When you get it out of the box you will think it is too light but it isn't. You can handle it by yourself. Just be sure to have someone help you raise it up.

Solid construction and light in weight for easy transport. Just be careful not to over-tighten clamps and bolts. Truss has 1 1/2 inch diameter tubing, so you can use standard 1 1/2 in clampsfor your fixtures. Overall, a very good product that should hold up well if handled properly.

I use my truss for large lighting displays while dj-ing, and providing live lighting & sound. It works well, and I use scanners and moving lights on it. Its strong and looks professional. I wouldnt use it for large moving lights due to weight and clamps could break holding the truss to the stands.. But great buy for par cans, and dj lighting and effects!

Let's just say that I have probably put these things to more work than anyone ever before. I have built a permanant senior high stage with three of these trussing systems combined together to create a "V" shape so to speak. On the left and right trussing sections I attached a 47" LCD screen for our song words, powerpoints, and videos (which concerned the contractor and I at first, but they have held for 2 and a half years). I have nearly 40 pars attached to them as well as various effect lights. This stage looks professional for sure. But underneith, it is just these cheap trusses. lol. That is all I have to say. Buy this - It comes highly recomended,

I needed a good lighting setup to do dances, sweet sixteens, etc. and I was debating between this and a simpler t-bar. This was not much more and I am soo glad I got it. It looks very professional and impresses alot of people. The truss is very sturdy and seems to be built well. It can hold alot of lights and doesnt take too long to set up with two people. The only flaws I can find with it are that the truss span doesnt have holes pre drilled, only the sides do, and also the screws have a habit of falling out when its disassembled if they arent tightened down. These are both pretty minor problems, I even prefer drilling my own holes for lights without clamps but not everyone has a drill. If you are choosing between this and a more basic t-bar just by the truss, youll be happy in the long run.
