Received this product in protective shipping material...one screw was missing from the pull out keyboard tray rail system...luckily I found the screw within the shipping materials. One Z shaped leg was missing the metal tab to mount the wood work surface, but this did not seem to be a problem, as the weight of the work surface kept the unit solid. Z shaped legs are a bit skewed and don't align with the wood perfectly, but overall assembly was do-able. Just an average product that I will find useful. Nice but slightly flawed.

The surface has about a half dozen large scratches on it, the front facing edge has a 2" area where the wood isn't flat (wood looks damaged then the laminate was put on top of it), & there's a mark about the size of a peanut right on top where the laminate is ripped. This is the 2nd one we purchased, sent the first one back due to damage & poor construction. Bought another only because it came down in price.

            Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

The desk came damaged out of the box. The tray was TERRIBLE. It broke as soon as it was put on and the bearing started falling out after 2 or 3 slides out. So I took the tray off and threw it away. It is put together now and works but its not solid and should really sell for 80.00/100.00 and nothing more than that.

This is a great quality item and bought two at rock bottom price!

One assembly step can be a bit difficult to get fasteners aligned on the horizontal members of the keyboard box. Once aligned everything fits perfectly.

met my expectations, I am amazed at the size is perfect for a home studio, great color, took me just an hour and 12mins to put the parts together (gonna need a helper at first) but once you have put the legs together you're ready to do it on your own.

I immediately opened the box to make sure all parts were there and sure enough, the screws & instruction manual were missing. I called customer service and they told me they would contact me as soon as they figure out the situation, its been weeks and still waiting. Im very dissapointed, i shouldve read the reviews before buying this junk.

Needed to replace my old beatup, somewhat rotted, pressboard laminate computer desk (which also doubles as my small home recording studio) with a something new. I wanted a steel frame. I read the reviews before buying and was confident this would fit my needs. It did. Assembly wasn't as tricky as some people stated, a little jiggling with the screws or board was necessary at times but nothing that would give you fits. It's sturdy. This item did not break my budget & was shipped for free, a no brainer!

                    Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

I was disappointed with the quality of this desk. I chose this model primarily based on the price and size. The desk is usable and does look good in its space, however, the slide out keyboard tray is in need of modifying. The slides (hardware) are pre-mounted and fell apart when sliding the tray on for the first time. I'll need to replace them with some better quality hardware at a later date. The assembly instructions were not clear and parts that were supposedly marked as Left and Right were not marked at all. One part was drilled, but missing necessary hardware to complete the assembly.

The paper veneer is bubbled in some areas, luckily, its in places hidden out of site. From the drill marks, it seems like the particle board core was veneered after the boards were drilled for assembly holes. This made it difficult to push the bolts through the pre-drilled holes without tearing the veneer around the hole.

Once assembled, the desk is very stable. I'm using this in a home studio and it serves its purpose. For me personally, it will work, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for anything other than private home use.

                    Comments about On-Stage Stands Workstation:

This was perhaps the worst piece of do-it-yourself furniture I've ever had to deal with. I've been buying and assembling furniture for decades. It's not worth the money or the effort. Don't buy it. MF should be ashamed of themselves for selling it.

The attachments were shoddy the screws and fittings were very poor quality. The surface is covered with the cheapest sort of contact paper that is marred and scratched just from un packing and putting the thing together. The particle board is of the worst kind and twice as heavy as it should be. The sliding drawer assembly is unbelievably bad. I had to leave it off.

I shudder to think what the normal heat, that is generated by any type of analog studio equipment, would do it.

I saw a lot of negative comments about this product from other customers but for the price it fills my needs. It arrived in good condition and I found the assembly to be reasonably simple. The directions could have been more detailed but I had no problems with assembly. The surfaces are vinyl over particle board but it is functional.

This thing is crazy difficult to assemble. The holes are drilled out of alignment, so if you buy one of these make sure you have a drill available. Surfaces are too high for any computer application. I modified it like crazy to make it work, but it took a tremendous amount of time. Some surfaces arrived scratched due to inadequate packaging. I absolutely would not buy this again.
