I recommend using a stud finder and using 2 1/2" or 3" drywall screws into the stud. I would not personally hang my guitars with drywall anchors. Usually studs are spaced at 16" which works out to be pretty much perfect for most guitars and if you have enough you can make your wall look like a music store.
These open up floor space. Keep your guitars safe and it's very usefull to have them all out and available instead of opening up cases to get to something. It's a must for a studio.
I use a tape measure to get even height and a level to get them nice and straight and it looks real pro. It might be my favorite part of my studio.
The only "cons" would be the foam seems to be degrading on some I bought @ 2007 and the black paint chipped on some when I took them down and moved, but I just threw them in a box, so that is my fault I guess.

Does what they are supposed to. I have 4 of them with two basses and two guitars...no problems with any. (guitar has dean V. headstock and rest are traditional.) no problems. I play in a smaller room with a drum set and have never knocked these off the wall. I used the screws directly into studs and don't know if the drywall fasteners are good or not.

What's not to like?! Installs in minutes with minimal tools. It says rated for 10 pounds, but it would certainly support much more with no problem.

Comments about ProLine GH1 Guitar Wall Hanger:
- 1 star for screws.
Ok these are nice picked up 4 of them at MF for buy one get one free so 10 total for 2. You will need to go to home depot and get good wood Screws. The ones that come with it are useless.
I would not hang my expensive and I do mean expensive guitars ( Collection ) on them mounted into sheet rock. Studs only and the screws are way too short for me.
Other than that the padding it good and it holds my collection of guitars nicely.

- Good Construction
Cons
- Bulky
- Somewhat Dated Look

Comments about ProLine GH1 Guitar Wall Hanger:
The hanger itself is good. The screws that come with it are not long enough to go through the sheetrock and into a stud. Use longer screws or it may end up dropping your guitar.
