Comments about ProLine LST2BK Speaker Stand Pair:
Heavy duty stands; tripod opens very wide giving good stability to speakers. Center support rod sits on the floor, again adding to stability. Worried about the plastic clamps. Over time those may be a problem. Overall, well pleased with purchase and shipping time and price. Will definitely purchase from Musician's Friend again!

Comments about ProLine LST2BK Speaker Stand Pair:
I've had 3 of 4 stand collapse on me while putting the speakers on, or taking them off. Each time the pen holding one of the legs has snapped sending me (and the speaker) down. I will never use these again!

Comments about ProLine LST2BK Speaker Stand Pair:
We use these with Yamaha DSR115 speakers. We've had these stands for over two years initially using them with JBL EONs. They have worked very well in terms of supporting our speakers. Like any tripod stand you don't want folks dancing around them. However, we've had very good experiences with them. The pins increase my confidence in their support.
Comments about ProLine LST2BK Speaker Stand Pair:
the $200 msrp is inflated. i would expect these to retail for 50 each if the quality controll was better.
its nice that there is a lock pin because i would not trust them without it. i dont like that it rests on the plastic. would have expected a recess or something at least for it to rest on.
the one major flaw on both stands is that the tripod legs dont lock to the main tube. the plastic main connecter has a knob and is supposed to close on the lower tube, but the tollerence on the plastic molding is way off. i bought the set, which came individually boxed, and both of them are this way. i tightened them both till they looked like they were going to break and there was still wobble room on the lower tube. all the weight rests on the strap rivits on the bottom of the lower tube. they are difficult to move with speakers on because i cant prevent the legs from opening or closing. I have jbl eon 15P's which i think are around 38lbs, but a lot of the weight is forward, so i dunno that i would trust them in a crowd even if the legs locked.
I'm rating it low because im going to have to come up with some sort of shim for the tube that holds its self in place by the knob. one more thing to get around to and possibly buy something for. hopefully they correct this flaw, or maybe i just got a bad batch.
