Comparing ALL the BASIC, SIMPLE LIGHT DUTY Keyboard Stands in The **LOWER** Price Range, I have found that this Stand IS the BEST VALUE! As a Recording Studio Owner, I have had "hands ON" up close inspection of MANY of these LIGHT DUTY STANDS. The PL100 is as STURDY and STABLE as all the others in this **PRICE RANGE, HOWEVER the "PUSH IN BUTTON" TYPE LOCKING MECHANISM ON The PL100 is what I consider the ONE FEATURE that makes this stand the BEST VALUE Over The OTHERS! THIS FEATURE ALONE, I have found to be the MOST SECURE And STURDY of ALL The Stands I've Witnessed and THE MOST IMPORTANT decision making factor! This LOCKING MECANISM will NOT SLIP OR WEAR OUT (Over Time )As well as being the easiest to adjust, AND will PREVENT your Keyboard Stand from Failing to HOLD your Keyboard At your desired HEIGHTH. ***NOTE** You should NOT TRY to adjust the height of this stand while your Keyboard is sitting ON IT. You should remove the Keyboard First (common Sense) but a good point to make. I personally PURCHASED The PL100 to hold my Roland A-33 Keyboard for doing MIDI work in my STUDIO and it has PLEASINGLY SERVED It's PURPOSE!! YES, there ARE BETTER HEAVY DUTY STANDS Available to Purchase for MORE $$$$$, BUT As I have stated, IF you are seeking a PROFESSIONAL QUALITY,(LOWER PRICED)BASIC KEYBOARD STAND, In My Opinion, The PL100 is THE WINNER!! None of the Others OFFER Any Other Features That OUT WEIGH This Stand. ***One More Note, It Offers Enough Height Settings to be Comfortable If You Choose To SIT OR STAND!!! I Do Hope My Findings Have Been Helpful To You!

I used this stand to support a 16 channel powered mixer board that weight 44 lbs. The first time I used it, I notice that all the screws were loose so I tighten them. Also, the rubber feet slid off during transport. I took it home, tighten the screws and took off the rubber feet, sprayed the ends of the tubing with a spray on adhesive, and then replaced the rubber feet to hold then on tightly. Well that was a waste of time and energy because the next time I use the stand, the screws were loose again, then as I was placing the mixer board on it, one the legs of the stand bent in the middle near the locking mechanism, bending the mechanism causing the stand to collapse. Fortunately for me I had not let go of the board yet so it did not crash to the floor. I'm don't see how this could handle a keyboard with someone playing it.

    OK Stand

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

I just needed something inexpensive for my studio. I've been very happy with my proline guitar stand, so I figured a proline keyboard stand would be good. It's lightweight and a tad wobbly, so I wouldn't recommend this for stage use unless you want to hear the inevitable sound of your keyboard crashing into the ground. But if you just need an inexpensive stand to sit up against a wall in your studio, then this stand should work just fine for you! I'm happy with it.

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

This stand is very easy to use and does the job with no problems. I am using it to hold a full size 88 key keyboard that weighs 77 pounds, and this stand holds it with no worries, shaking or wobbling. Plus, the adjustment is very easy on this stand. You'll like this stand, and it's a great price too!

I am a Grandmother who ordered this for my 15 year old granddaughter who is taking keyboarding lessons. She now has a wonderful place to put her keyboard and enjoy playing it. The customer service I received right from the beginning was outstanding....all my questions were answered. And the delivery was prompt and in perfect condition. I wish there were more items I needed from this company because it has been such a good experience dealing with them.

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

You can always use another X-stand. I use mine for synths, controllers, a place to hang instrument and mic cords and recently to my increasing library of old analog drum machines (the ones that were set on top of home organs.) Put a home improvement shelf on it and you have a make shift table top for a laptop, mouse and iOS devices and mixers in a pinch.

They're multi functional so when they're on sale, I almost always grab one or two. The arms and feet on this one are not welded on, but assembled with screws and an hex wrench. Seems sturdy enough but it's my first of this kind. I'm used to welded joints on a keyboard X-stand. The weight spec seems comparable so I wouldn't worry about it, but no matter what type, make sure it's rated for at least double your equipment. I have a 60 plus lb controller that I would only put on a double X-stand or better.

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

I found a keyboard at an estate sale that I added to the current home studio. I certainly didn't want to spend more for the stand than the keyboard cost me, and I was thrilled that this came up at a daily deal. I've read mixed reviews of single braced stands, but at the sale price point I jumped at it. Assembly was easy with four bolts -- that's it. It's certainly sturdy enough for home use. (One review talks of it loosening up . . . not sure how that could be; bolts are two inches . . . probably 3/8 of which screw in firmly and tighten with a supplied allen wrench.) I'd have given it five stars except for the fact that with the height options, the best was just about one inch shy of my piano keyboard height. Really just a fine stand.

Comments about Proline PL100 X-Braced Keyboard Stand:

I was looking for something basic to hold a 50 lb 88-key Yamaha practice piano in my home studio, and this does the job. The solid rectangular bar supports take the weight easily. But, as with all stands of this kind, you will get a bit of side-to-side wobble when you have it adjsuted up to play in standing position. Solved that quickly by snugging a conga up against one end. Solid, baby!
