On the positive side, this stand is very sturdy -- handles the big keyboards with no problem. Its also extremely fast and simple to set-up and tear down. I marked the angle adjustments so that I could quickly find the right settings. The stand is also very rugged, however be careful not to over-tighten the knobs! There have some cases reported on the 'net of people stripping the bolts. Tighten 'em down just enough to be secure and no more! The top tier is only adjustable for angle. I really wish it would also adjust for height and distance from the player (so it doesn't overlap the bottom board as much). Also, tall people with 88- and 76-key 'boards beware: If you stand while you play, adjusting this stand to a comfortable playing height can position the bottom tier support struts too close together to stably support a long keyboard. I'm 6'2" and I end up having the the bottom tier a little lower than I'd prefer. If you play sitting down, or you're short, or you play 61-key 'boards, this is not a problem, however.

I have had this stand for about 8 months and use it about 4 times a week. I use it for my microkorg(about 3lb) and my juno g (about 15lbs). The problem I have had is that the legs spread and my microkorg falls to the gound. I fixed the problem by tightening the bolt but it loosens with time. I think it may just be a defect with my stand. I am planing on getting another one but I would like to call the company to see if they would replace it but I can't find a number for them.

Comments about ProLine PL402 2-Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
This is a great stand. It's very durable, sturdy, the higher tier doesn't cover up the lower tier, it collapses down to nearly the same small size of my old single tiered stand, and it's nice looking to boot!

Comments about ProLine PL402 2-Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
I have a single tier, single braced On Stage,it's terrible, just terrible. It wobbles, it feels like it's going to fall over, this on the other hand is great quality, and you don't have to worry about it falling over.
Comments about ProLine PL402 2-Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
I bought this stand a couple weeks ago and it is just amazing! It does not wobble one bit so you keyboardists who love to freak out and get up on there it will hold and will not wobble! Its heavy though...Thats the only bad thing about it...BUT it holds a lot of weight...I would recommend this stand to any active musician

Comments about ProLine PL402 2-Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
My band bought this 2-tier keyboard stand for my key-boardist for christmas, not knowing much about the stand, i bought it based off prior reviews. This stand is steadfast and wicked awesome! The frame is solid and the second level tier was very well engineered. We use this stand to hold a variety of things such as keyboards, bells, laptops, xylophones, blocks, vocal pedals...you name it, it holds it. My only complaint is that it is kinda pricey, but all in all it is worth the money. We are a touring and rechording band and this stand has proven to be a wise additional to our equipment family.
Comments about ProLine PL402 2-Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
I must warn that this stand (ProLine PL-402 2 Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand) means business! if you're the kind who plays the largest and heaviest keyboards out there, this is the stand for you. It literally doses not matter what tier you place your heavy keyboard/s on, this thing will.. and I mean will solidly hold I will add "firmly" for repetition. Last time I used it a major gig, I had a Rhodes stage 73 on there, not only that but a Motif 8 sitting on top of the rhodes! all on the bottom tier, other times i've had the same motif 8 on the upper tier,,, its all good and solid, believe me. MY only issue with this stand was the the grooves for angle adjustment were not in-sync/line perfectly with each side of the stand, so it *can* be a bit challenging the upper tier's to match perfectly..But I assume this is a defect in my stand.

Comments about ProLine PL402 2-Tier Double X-Braced Keyboard Stand:
i use a Kurtsweil SP-88 full size heavy weighted action keyboard on the stand, and a roland SH-201 on the tier, and it works perfectly. The only thing is that you can't adjust the height of the top tier, so it might take some getting used to. also, an SH-201 is like 5 pounds if not lighter, so i wouldn't expect the top tier to be able to hold alot. if you have two heavy keyboards, you're better off with two seperate stands next to each other.
