I felt I should review this stand since the first two reviewers were very negative about it.  I use mine only in the studio, so I haven't torn it down more than once.  The knobs and threads worked fine for me.  The stand seems quite sturdy, and I have a very heavy Kurzweil K2500 on it.  This keyboard weighs about 70 pounds and the stand doesn't move!  I got this on sale for $65 and it was well worth it.  It probably isn't for heavy road use but it is sturdy and reliable.

I bought this from Guitar Center. The salesman said it was the same as the On-Stage stand. They are NOT. The quality was terrible. Broken knobs,  bolts without threads, and thin metal construction. The design is unstable as well. I have an On-Stage stand to compare it too and the Proline was quickly returned and I ordered an Onstage from MF.

The knobs are made of a very brittle bakeligt plastic, which are easily damaged during shipping/handling.  They shatter into small sharp pieces.  Consequently, this stand should not be considered "road worthy."  This is a manufacturing defect that should be corrected by ProLine.
