Holds "several" guitars, not necessarily seven

| Review By: Keith Morris | 1 week, 3 days ago

Features:

The rack holds my Epiphone Les Paul, Epiphone Riveria, Kay archtop acoustic, Fender Precision, Washburn twelve string, Guild jumbo twelve string, but there's no room for anything else. I thought there would be enough wiggle room in each space, but no. Still, it looks good, and it is so nice having all of the guitars (I put my EJ-200 on a separate stand) ready--no need to unpack a case when I want to switch guitars.

Quality:

I use it at home, and it works well. It was easy to assemble. It does not take up space, but as an earlier reviewer posted, don't plan on placing it directly against a wall. Allow room for the headstocks because the guitars sit at an angle.

I only use it at home, so I cannot report how well it fares on the road.

Value:

It's not a bad purchase at all. At the time, the price was better here than at Amazon.

Overall:

For me, it was a good buy.

Functional, saves space

| Review By: DeanGroovy | 1 month, 3 weeks ago

Features:

This does save space. The plastic foam covering does the job but they do include a warning for "sensitive" guitar finishes like nitro-cellulose. I didn't test this to see if it reacts with the finish but I think this is a CYA note. If you have collectible guitars on stage, you're taking your chances anyway. The fold up feature is ok but doesn't look like it will be reliable in the long term. We don't gig that much so the lower price point to lower quality is ok. I think the acoustic guitars are cramped, but you can alternate acoustic with electric to leave room for Jesus in between them.

Quality:

Not the best you could buy but well executed for what it is. A powder coat paint would have been nice for durability but this paint was properly applied. Be careful not to over-tighten the bolts on this so you don't strip them. Instructions were poor but it's a simple device so you can figure it out, and like the other reviews said, don't tighten the bolts and screws until after you've got it put together. The weight of the materials is on the light side. The packaging was poor but I received everything intact.

Value:

You probably can't build this out of PVC for less than this if you consider your labor, but I still felt this was priced too high for what it is. I'm sure they're cranking these out in well under the price a unit but the lack of a competitor at this price point drives the expense up, that or they don't want to compete with their single guitar stands. I needed the functionality this provides so from that standpoint, it's the best value on the market. It'd be nice if they had more competition but there's maybe not enough guitar players to warrant that.

Overall:

Overall, it's ok. Love the functionality. Hopefully it will stand up over time.

Review for folding stand

| Review By: Barton Beggs | 2 months, 2 weeks ago

Features:

The stand is made well enough to hold guitars, although it would be hard to place 7 acoustic guitars (with their deeper bodies) into the stand due to the size. Electric(thin bodied) guitars would fit easily.  The stand sits close to the floor so I have to unplug my guitar before placing it on the rack since I don't have a cord with an L-shaped end on it.

I bought this stand to try to consolidate the space used by guitar stands on our small stage in church.  It does the job for which I bought it.

No problem here..

Features:

I haven't seen the 'better' italian version of this stand, but I think it's great.   It went together very easily and everything lined up.   I did use the suggestions on this board and didn't tighten anything until it was all together.    The quality seems fine and it really organized my guitar 'collection' into one nice spot.   I've got 3 accoustical guitars and 3 electric on it without any problems.

Quality:

Nothing wrong here.   It's light and the padding foam has'nt marred anything.

Value:

It's a little expensive, but you get what you pay for sometimes.

Overall:

Solid, I'd buy another one if I had the need.

Decent Stand, but...

Overall:
This is a decent guitar stand and certainly a plus for anyone who owns multiple guitars or basses or great for a band practice room or studio. It is pretty easy to assemble and is fairly sturdy. The one thing I definitely want to suggest to everyone is to look closely at the pictures. This stand holds the guitars at an angle as opposed to straight up and down. Guitars are fine on here, but if you have bass guitars the stand will need to stand out from a wall about a foot to accommodate the headstocks. The padding on both the bottom rails and neck supports are fine and cushy and protective. The stand also folds up fairly flat for storage or travel. A decent investment, and a better option than having 7 single stands in the way all of the time.
