I have used Horizon cables for many years in my band for a reason. I beat the living **** out of them (throw them, walk on them, pull on the guitar side of it to take it out of the amp, ect.). They're cheap and easy to fix (even with my abuse, they still lasted well over a year before I had to fix them). I actually think its funny when people say that the cables just stop working and therefore must be poor quality. Um... thats why you can take them apart so easily. Solder doesn't hold things forever. You just unscrew the plug jacket, and you re-solder the wires. its really easy to do and takes only about 2 minutes. The sound that they give you is clear and noise-free. They are high quality cables and, in the rare ocassion that they stop working, you just open them up and press the frayed ends of the wire down with a hot soldering iron. I have several of them and they all work beautifully even with the harsh treatment that they recieve.

I bought this cable last December to replace my Livewire cable (which died after about 2 1/2 years). When I first got it I was very satisfied. It had awesome sound, and looked great. I practiced with my band using it about once or twice a week, and that was it. I never used it at home. I only had the chance to gig with it once, and it was never mishandled or anything, it was packed and unpacked with care. However, in about August it began crackling and cutting in and out. Then it died completely and never worked again no matter what I did. If you want a short-term relationship with your cable, buy this...but if you're looking for something that will last in the long run, don't buy this.

I bought this to use with a TRS acoustic guitar preamp/mixer owned by a fellow staff member at my church. Cable works great and appears to be good quality. I would buy more Horizon cables based on my experience so far with this product.

You won't go wrong with this one. The price is a bit higher than others, but it does have a life warranty. Quality materials and flexible so it packs up easily (doesn't twist and snag like cheap cords.

I am a studio musician and work as an Assistant Recording Engineer, these cables are tough, with the exeption of the occasional re-soldering they hold up, if I had to choose between Monster cables and horizon i would still choose these, as for those who think they are poor quality, next time you "ducktape" your cable to fix it just open it up and check the connection before you bash the qaulity.

A few days ago, it just stopped working. I would have to move it around and would get crackling, and eventually it would work but if i stepped on it or moved it slightly it would crap out again. So I cracked it open and realized that the wire was unraveled and frayed. I don't know how this happened, because I never messed with it. I now question the quality of these cables.

I upgraded to this from the bottom of the line black cable that the music store threw in with my guitar. This one is noticeably louder and clearer. You can remove the jack plates if you need to fix the wiring, but I haven't had to so far. I'm sure there are better cables out there, but these work just fine for me.

I bought this a cable a couple month ago and it started giving me problem. I would have to move it around to get the right connection. Then I Duct taped it but it still doesn't work. I suggest you buy something with better quality.
