This is a very sturdy bag that holds all of my hardware. It seems like it will hold up to the rigors of gigging several times a month. I have had it for about 6 months, we do 2-3 gigs every other weekend, and it still looks brand new. Very high-quality materials.

I carry a hi-hat stand, snare stand, drum throne, 4 cymbal stands, and floor tom legs and everything fits nicely. I also keep a tambourine and a shaker in the pockets. It isn't quite big enough to fit my bass drum pedal in there, though (Tama Speed Cobra). That lives in the hard plastic case that it came in. If I could fit that in there then I would be really happy.

This bag lives in our band trailer, but I have also taken it out and put it in the trunk of my car (a full sized sedan with a pretty deep trunk) as well as across the back seat of my wife's car (a 4-door compact sedan).

The other guys in the band affectionately call it the "body bag", but what do you expect from a heay duty bag filled with drum hardware?? ;)

I purchased this case in August, 2014. I used it for perhaps 2 dozen gigs in local venues. (I am an amateur drummer.) In December 2016, one of the seams at the wheel end of the case gave way, with all the stitching coming undone. As a result, the bag is no longer usable. I contacted Musicians Friend, but since the case was out of warranty, they urged me to call Roadrunner to see if there was any flexibility to the warranty period. (I thought for sure they would be sensitive to a clear defect that was manifested so SOON after the expiration of the warranty.) Unfortunately, I was told by Roadrunner there was nothing they could do to help convince Musicians Friend to replace the case.

As a result of my experience, it's clear that I recommend avoiding the purchase of Roadrunner cases. They are not as durable as the price would suggest. (I've been using an "Impact" bag for 22 years, and it shows no signs of wear beyond normal wear.)

Comments about Road Runner Rolling Hardware Bag 38 inches:

I've had mine for about 6 months and the stitching on the outside pocket has already gone completely out. You can't fill these to capacity because the stitching is too weak. On the plus side, you probably don't want to fill these to capacity because the bag becomes extremely heavy (even with the wheel system). I think it's a better bet to get two of them so you don't overload them.

Comments about Road Runner Rolling Hardware Bag 38 inches:

I got this bag as a free gift with a drum hardware purchase, and I have to say it has been one of the most useful items I own to date. I am a recording engineer with a lot of gear to tote around. So far I have manger to fit one 24 channel 25 foot TRS snake, a stereo micro phone bar, 2 sets of headphones, 3 sM57s, and about 17 microphone stands in this bag with room to spare. This bag has Handles mounted on either side of the opening for one-handed carrying, two handles at either end for two-handed carrying, a shoulder strap, and wheels at one end (these are hard to utilize when the bag is full. Definitely worth looking into, especially if you are looking for a rugged bag capable of holding a small car.

Comments about Road Runner Rolling Hardware Bag 38 inches:

Great bag. Fits a couple of cymbal stands, a snare stand, high hat, etc. Holds the weight well. I did run into some problems with the zipper pulls which broke pretty quick. I just put some key rings in and solved the problem...

I've owned this bag for about a year. I play out three or four times a month and every gig, I swear, I thank myself for buying it. It makes lugging 50 pounds of hardware a breeze. Very well made and shows no sighns of failing. Highly recommended.

Comments about Road Runner Rolling Hardware Bag 38 inches:

Have used this for local gigs and rehearsals on average 4 times a week for 3 years. Has held up well with plenty of room for small to medium size kit. Zipper handles broke early on, but key rings with dog tags has worked well. Easy to load in and out of SUV. Shoulder strap is not useful for carrying, but this is a roller.

Old bag had huge hole from roadies dragging on concrete when wheel went south. Got this to replace with. When received the wheel bracket was broken, glad I checked it. Returned and bought different case. Would recommend if not broken.

I purchase this bag to carry all my cymbal stands, Chime stands and percussion tools and oddities. Looked it over carefully to verify it's ruggedness. Impressed by the thick walls and all the compartments it has. A true winner and a must for every musician. The ultimate test will be when I travel to Mexico with it.

Comments about Road Runner Rolling Hardware Bag 38 inches:

Bought this as an inexpensive alternative to a hard case as I needed something in a hurry before heading out for a string of tour dates. Within about a month the stitching blew out near the caster wheels, leaving a gaping hole right where hardware could slide out while beeing wheeled. To be fair, I probably overused the bag for what it was intended to do. Nice size and easy to handle, though, for the weekend warrior. Just don't expect it to log lots of rough handling in and out of the van and up and down stairs when full.
