I purchased this pedal along with an RD-600 Roland digital piano about 15 years ago and have found it utterly reliable through many moves, home studio use and professional gigging. While I haven't found a pedal yet that doesn't have to be taped to the floor on stage, this one moves around somewhat less than most thanks to the extendable rubber foot. I finally upgraded to a Korg Kronos this year and the mAudio damper pedal I'd bought from Guitar Center started to intermittently fail within months, so I was really disappointed to discover that I couldn't just use my old Roland pedal because the Korg products have the opposite polarity and the Roland pedal isn't switchable.

This pedal would not work with my Korg SV1 or the Arturia keyboard. Although the Korg has the ability to set polarity via pedal configuration, it still wouldn't work for me. Maybe a defective pedal for all I know. I found the pedal to be noisy (a scraping sound when in action).

Comments about Roland DP-10 Damper Pedal:

I bought this for use with my Roland in my home set up (and as a back-up in case my performance pedal gives up). Works well and has a nice non-slip rubber base that can be extended forward if you want. Also has button on side for switch/continuous operation.

Comments about Roland DP-10 Damper Pedal:

This pedal is as good as everyone says it is. Of all the pedals I've owned, this is the most resistive to sliding around on the floor at those live gigs. Very good mechanical/electric good response.

Comments about Roland DP-10 Damper Pedal:

excellent design - it never slips away from your foot. but will not work for Casio keyboard because there is no polarity-changing switch on the keyboard or the pedal

Comments about Roland DP-10 Damper Pedal:

This is the best sustain pedal I have ever used in 3 decades of being a pro keyboard player. The use of a rubber pad on which your heel rests is such a simple and effective design to eliminate pedal slip that it is brilliant. Well-constructed, no mechanical noise, smooth operation, long cable, works well on my Nord and Yamaha Motif (including 1/2-dampening). Easily worth the extra expense (I now have one for each keyboard).
