These strings sweet
I put these strings on my gene simmons axe guitar and what a sweet sound they make. I will be making these my regular strings on my other guitars as well.

Comments about Rotosound RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings:
These strings feel great and sound closer to an Upright Bass.
I put these on my Takamine 512 and love the way they sound and feel. Hardly any volume decrease over the bronze strings, they were louder than I expected. Only problem I had was drilling out the hole a little to fit the E string.
Comments about Rotosound RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings:
The Trubass Bass Strings have a nice feel and warm sound.
The problem is the heavier guage of the strings.
I put the strings on my Squire Jazz Bass and discovered that the E string did not fit into the nut. When I brought up this problem at a local music store, I was advised to use a lighter gauge set of strings because the heavier gauge strings could cause a bowing of the neck due to the heavier tension.
Buyer beware. My advice is to speak with a qualified luthier and follow his or her recommendations.
The price of the strings is a bit steep.

I usually use Rotosound Funkmaster strings On my Epiphone EB-3 and it sounds great, But I recently bought An allen woody bass and The funkmasters sounded Horrid, So I looked at these and My bass sounds Like The bass line From "hey Bulldog" by the Beatles, I have to say Im not buying Thses from now on and They have to be at least 2times more Comfortable than The funk masters. If U Like The sound of a "Tru Bass" U will love these strings and for the money they are a steal
Comments about Rotosound RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings:
I was looking to make my P-Bass sound more or less like an upright. These strings did the trick.Previously I tried some Fender flats. The Fenders sounded too metallic. However, these Rotosounds make the bass sound deep and thumpy. An added benefit is that these strings feel great. They are very smooth but not slippery. If you are looking to give your bass a warm mellow sound, these strings will do the trick. Slappers and poppers look elsewhere!

Gives the closest sound to a good, worn in set of Pirazzi's...nice dark sound, great response, and loose enough not to completely tire you out. I'm an upright bassist that happens to own an electric...and i'll keep coming back to these flatwounds!

I have played on many strings and there is absolutely nothing that can compare with the "RS 88". All the "other" strings I've tried sound like "thread". And since I use the "RS 88" on my Electric Basses exclusivly, I call them: "My Strings".
Comments about Rotosound RS88LD Trubass Black Nylon Flatwound Bass Strings:
I absolutely love these strings. I've been playing fretless bass exclusively since 1995 -in various rock, alternative, praise/worship, and jazz bands. In trying to achieve a darker "up-right" sound; I've tried just about every brand of flatwound strings with VERY little if any noticeable difference between brands until I tried these nylonwounds from Rotosound. I like a really rich/ dark tone --which these nylonwound strings provide in spades without sacrificing clarity on the high end like most of the flatwounds I've tried tend to do. And they feel like silk!!!
