Gauges: 28-32-40-30-34-42

Savarez Traditional trebles are made of rectified nylon which is characterized by a distinctive unpolished finish. This grittiness contributes to a lessening of the high overtones. Because of their texture, the treble strings are unusually controllable with regard to vibrato and stability. The characteristics of their tone make their pitch particularly clear and true. The basses are on the warm and soft side, and their tone is strong overall.

Comments about Savarez 520R Traditional Red Card Strong Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

My dad use to always use these strings but I never got a chance. I use to use D'addario classical strings but now that I have these I can hear the big difference. There is a bit more clarity and the sound is way brighter. Really glad I got these strings.

Comments about Savarez 520R Traditional Red Card Strong Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

I've tried quite a few different brands, materials, and tensions. These are by far the best strings I've ever had on my guitar. They have better presence, better highs, and they feel good. The bass side is not booming, just nice.

Comments about Savarez 520R Traditional Red Card Strong Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

I am very sorry to say that these are the worst strings I ever bought. The "distinctive unpolished finish" on treble strings make even more noise than the usual bass strings when moving positions. Also it is quite immpossible to make warm tones by hitting the string in a smaller angle without rustling. It transformed my cello suite into a set of "shh"s. My first decision was to buy different strings tomorrow.

      Best Nylon Strings...ever

Comments about Savarez 520R Traditional Red Card Strong Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

I'm not a music snob. I don't own a Rodriguez or a Gibson. Sure I can tell the difference between a Gibson and a Squier but is the performance = 10x's the cost? In the case of these strings, the extra $8. IS worth it. I've found that since putting them on my cheap Takamine, I can't tell the difference between my guitar and a $1,000 guitar. They seem last longer than most strings too.

Good overall practice strings, though they're not as resilient for quick work as would be found in some flamenco work. Tonal quality is consistant but a bit on the hard and dull side.

      Outstanding projection!

Comments about Savarez 520R Traditional Red Card Strong Tension Classical Guitar Strings:

Very good projection, and when I play the G string half my body vibrates. I think that's all that's needed to be said.
