OVERVIEW

Blackout the bad hum, crank up the tone.

The Seymour Duncan Blackouts 7-String Phase II Active Bridge Humbucker is a direct retrofit for EMG®'s 707 pickup. The AHB-1b Blackouts humbucker provides extended frequency response with less compression for your 7-string electric guitar. Seymour Duncan engineers have captured the tone players want in an active pickup with the benefits of balanced inputs.

Not only do Seymour Duncan Blackouts have less hum than most active humbucker pickups, they also have more lows, more highs, and more output. Simply put, these Seymour Duncan guitar pickups have more tone than most active pickups. Players will find far fewer problems with hum, especially near computer monitors and fluorescent lighting.

Many USA-made active humbuckers use unbalanced inputs in a differential preamp. The problem is, an unbalanced differential preamp is not very effective at canceling hum. Seymour Duncan's engineers figured out how to capture the tone that guitarists want in an active pickup, but using balanced inputs. The result is 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, more highs, and more output.

All Seymour Duncan Blackouts pickups include all necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.

Seymour Duncan's AHB-1b Blackouts Phase II bridge humbucker has more tone than many other active pickup. Put it in the cart and give your tone a big boost.

Best Metal Pickup To Date PERIOD!!

Comments about Seymour Duncan AHB-1b Blackouts 7-String Phase II Active Humbucker bridge:

This pickup does everything it says it does and more. You have WAY more head room then with an emg 81-7 or an emg 707 with this pickup it is real easy to dial in a great tone. I cant really say that for the other pickups. I have tried most seven string pickups and they dont touch this thing. I play ONLY heavy metal/dropped tunings ect. so that is what I am reviewing it for. It has decent clean tones but you are limited, you arent ever going to get that glass clean tone with an active pickup but close enough for my taste. Well over all love it and plan to buy them for my other 2 guitars.
