Blackout the bad hum, crank up the tone.
The Seymour Duncan AHB-1b Blackouts 8-string is a 9V active bridge humbucker pickup that provides more extended frequency response with less compression. Seymour Duncan engineers have captured the tone guitarists want in an active design with the benefits of balanced inputs.
Not only do Seymour Duncan Blackouts active humbuckers have less hum than most active humbucker pickups, they also have more lows, more highs, and more output. Simply put, Blackouts have more tone than most active pickups. Players will find far fewer problems with hum, especially near computer monitors and fluorescent lighting.
"Other" USA-made active humbuckers use unbalanced inputs in a differential preamp. The problem is, an unbalanced differential preamp is not very effective at canceling hum. Seymour Duncan's engineers figured out how to capture the tone that players want in an active design, but using balanced inputs. The result is 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, more highs, and more output.
All Seymour Duncan Blackouts pickups include all necessary mounting hardware, including pots, jack, and a battery clip.
Blackouts have more tone than many other active pickups. Put it in the cart and give your tone a big boost.

Comments about Seymour Duncan AHB-1b Blackouts 8-String Active Humbucker Bridge:
This on a Schecter Blackjack atx-8. I was a little hesitant at first after being diapointed by EMG's lifeless tone, but thought that an active pickup would beneeded for for an 8 string. Regardless of my Engl 580's preamp settings this pickup cut through clearly while still be responsive. It like most if not all active are a little more compressed, but modern high gain preamp do that regardless, so it wasn't a concern for me.
I was pleasently surprised with the dynamic range and ability to generate tasteful harmonics (natural and artificial) across the range of the guitar, Feedback wasn't a problem, although they were more senistive to noise when i fliped the pickup controler switch compared to seymour duncan and gibson pickups, which could be a problem for someone who switches pickup position during a song, the noise was at a high enough of a threshold to mess with my isp decimator pro rack.
This ccame standard on the Schecter Blackjack atx8, but i did choose that model over emg equiped versions.
