I have a 60th anniv. USA tele. Bone stock. Had a nice twang, but sounded very thin.
I replaced the stock pups with SD Antiquity II and it sounds much better. Way fuller, thicker, etc...

replaced the STR-1 Duncan Vintage 57 neck pickup, which is a great pickup but I wanted hum cancelling in middle position, bridge is a Duncan Broadcaster pickup. These two pickups work well together, the Antiquity has more highs than the 57 Duncan neck and is overall a better pickup but if the Duncan Broadcaster Set would have been RWRP I would not have changed the neck pickup because the stock STR-1 is an excellant pickup on its own
