OVERVIEW

Give into the darker side of metal with help from this specially designed tone monster.

Seymour Duncan's Black Winter Trembucker Electric Guitar Pickup was designed to be as dark as the winters in Scandinavia, a place where black metal still lives and breathes fire. If your favorite metal axe has a Floyd Rose or tremolo bridge, add this pickup in the bridge position for excessive grime and aggression, and crushing distortion. Naturally the Black Winter Trembucker comes in the only color worthy of something this heavy, black.

Comments about Seymour Duncan Black Winter Trembucker Electric Guitar Pickup:

I have this in the Bridge position of an early 2000s Gibson Les Paul studio. It was originally loaded with 400 series pickups that sounded pretty bland. I had a Duncan Jazz with nothing to go with it so I paired it with this. I intentionally got the Trembucker version for the higher output and how typically the pole pieces line up better with most guitars. It has a very tight and ballsy sound, not all the demos are very good at demonstrating what its core characteristics are. It does drive a typical clean channel pretty hard but I made special patches on my modeler for it. A lot like a Duncan Distortion with more low end. Very punchy with a lot of clarity. Has plenty of bass like and invader while being slightly more balanced. Great on any kind of gain tone.
